RESIN LIFESAVER!
This resin spray has saved so many of my pieces that would have otherwise ended up in the trash. Some of my resin molds have slight scratches and imperfections that obviously show up on the piece after demolding. In this case I sand the piece under water with a 1500 grit wet/dry sandpaper, let it dry and then spray it with Castin' Craft Resin Spray. On pieces that have sharp edges I start out using a coarser sandpaper usually 400 grit and gradually increase to a 1500 grit. You would think that after sanding there would be no way in the world it could ever have a beautiful crystal clear shine and such a smooth feel. If used properly, it certainly will with this resin spray! The resin piece you are going to spray needs to be free of any little lumps, bumps, hairs and dust. If not, you will not get the shine you want and the spray will not settle properly.I would suggest trying the spray out for the first time on something you don't care too much about. If you spray too little, it will look splotchy. If you spray too much it will drip. Don't worry if you mess up, practice makes perfect! If still wet and I am not happy with how I sprayed or if I see a a piece of dust on it, wearing gloves, I squirt Dawn dish soap on the piece under water and wipe the spray off with paper towels and then spray again, of course you could always wait for the resin spray to dry, sand and respray, too!The spray works great in other ways as well. It you have a piece that still seems tacky the resin spray will fix that. It is also good for sealing your inclusions before putting them in resin. I love, love, love this resin spray. Happy crafting!

I 've changes my review! I love this stuff now!!!
I've learned there is a learning curve to this spray. It takes a few light sprays to coat, then it leaves a orange peal like finish. It was very disappointing that it would not add a shine on a resin piece. Plus, it took a lot to put a thin coat on the piece, then is was cloudy. I have learned that it is great for sealing the ink on transparency's using the same light sprays, plus it doesn't leave the orange peal surface I love it for this!!!! All other methods for sealing transparency's renews the ink. I will be buying this spray again!

Took some trial and error
So... this product is weird. Not bad weird, but hear me out.I followed the directions on the can, and the results I got were matte, not gloss. I was very bummed and thought that I had ruined some of my epoxy resin pieces. I basically gave up immediately and never tried it again. Then my husband gave it a try and sprayed a thick coat about 3 inches away from them and THAT was when they got that glossy coat I was needing. And they dried glossy, too.I do recommend trying that out instead of doing what the directions stated to do lol just took some trial and error and luckily the final results were much better than I was anticipating compared to the first impression it gave.Hope this helps.

It does work and goes on clear if you do it right
This product is amazing. Weโve been working on an epoxy bar top for weeks now. Our first pour had some issues and then this last pour 98% of the table hardened. 2 little spots were tacky. With fear the table was ruined or we would have to pour yet again we turned to other options we came across in blog posts. The reviews of this spray made me very hesitant. BUT after reading reviews and seeing many recommendations of people saying to brush the spray on, I did just that. I can see why the spray would be cloudy if you did not do this. The directions even state to hold the can 14โ away from your project. If you spray thick, it would turn your piece cloudy. Brushing the spray on gives you more control of the thickness. We did have to do two separate thin coats, 2 hours apart, to completely take away the tackiness. But the spray worked. I am so thankful our project was not ruined! 10/10 would recommend for a quick fix on a epoxy project where slight tackiness is your issue.

UMMM NO!!!
I don't particularly care for it. The instructions are not that clear. I say that because it doesn't tell you how many coats should work. Also, I sprayed it to try and eliminate some imperfections on resin coated jewelry and it isn't good. Also, this stuff is NOT scratch resistant. I will continue to use polyurethane. I was trying to do something not as toxic.

Cloudy finish
I purchased this to spray a light finish on my resin castings. There are so many sites and videos suggesting this product, so even though it is expensive I tried it. I sprayed it in 5 of my pieces in a very thin coat. It dried cloudy and ruined the finish. I am not sure if I got an old can but I shook it for several minutes and used it outside on a day that was mid 80โs. The can looked like it could have possibly old. I am not sure if itโs the product or simply the can I Recieved, but I am afraid to ruin other pieces with this. Very disappointed as this would have been fantastic if it worked.

Good Product - a bit deceiving though
I love this product... I really do. It's awesome for what I use it for, however it claims to have a clear high gloss finish and it doesn't. While the coating is 'clear' it gives a matte finish versus a shiny finish, which was my immediate assumption.. and if you're not careful, when you reach the bottom of the can it will be cold, and finish with a white tint. Still love it though

great for touch-ups
This is a great product! It can leave a hazy or tiny-bubbled surface if it's not applied correctly, or too thickly, but I love that i have a way to "fix" resin pieces I've made that have a scratched or imperfect surface! Would definitely recommend this if you work in resin!
