How do I get the glue off the soles. There are pieces of glue and is white/clear and it does not look nice on the black shoe?

That was not on the (white) shoes I got. Depending on the kind of glue it it, you can try getting it off with a wet-wipe type product - those work pretty well. Also if it is just on the very soles of the shoes, then it should come off with time.
