a Pair of Children's Bicycle Riding Flash Silent Training Wheels, Suitable for 12-20 inch Single Speed Bicycles (black)

Ordered these for an 70lbs 8yr old who didn't want to ride outside but wanted an indoor bike. I installed for normal training wheels use, and then placed old adult shoes under each training wheel, which lifts just enough to lift the back wheel off the ground creating a very stable kid indoor trainer. I was concerned that the weight might be too much for the training wheels but they appear to be built to support even heavier than 70lbs. They are very sturdy and stable and able to use on a bigger wheel diameter than I'm using. My picture is on a 16in diameter wheel. There is two additional holes above for larger wheels and each hole is slightly elongated to allow a more custom height fit. The hardest part was the awkward sitting position required for an adult to install any training wheels and the bizarre paragraph after the actual instructions. I didn't tighten super tight the first time and slowly it became apparent I needed to move the metal stem back into alignment and actually tighten all the way. So even a "duh" mistake was no big deal to notice without catastrophe and easily corrected. Now he's zooming around the house and occasionally using the adult shoes trick for turning into an indoor stationary bike trainer. He's even begun to show interest in riding outside finally. We originally avoided training wheels because of safety and opted for balance bike but that just made him opt out of biking all together for years.

As a dad, I can't recommend these training wheels enough. Got my hands on a couple of extra bikes and needed something to help my 7-year-old and 5-year-old get started. Installation was a piece of cake, really, and I was able to get them onto the 17 and 20 inch bikes no problem. These things are as sturdy as they come. Took a few tumbles but they're holding up great. Now, the flashy feature has the kids over the moon! The wheels light up when they're pedaling around - which I wasn't expecting when I purchased. Gives them a kick and I reckon it helps with safety in low light too. And they're silent - no rattling or anything to distract them while they're getting the hang of it. These training wheels are worth their weight in gold. They've given the kiddos the confidence to ride and now, well, good luck getting them off their bikes. Great product all around!

I bought this for my 6yo's Huffy Rock It 20 since they don't come with training wheels. The wheels themselves are fine, the metal seems durable. The lights in the wheels are cute to me as a parent walking behind the bike, but it is lost on my son of course. We did find the bolt on the Rock It 20 is too short to use these training wheels without a bolt extender, so I bought a set from Amazon for the Rock It 20 that includes a stabilizing bracket. Overall happy with these! I have no experience installing these or with bikes in general (beyond riding) but I was able to install these pretty easily.

This product is very bad and especially DANGEROUS FOR CHILDREN because it can break and come off while in motion. I bought the product, installed it correctly on the bicycle, and after 5 or 6 uses by my son, always at short distances, one of the wheels simply came off and the bearing disintegrated, causing my son to fall abruptly to the ground. THE PRODUCT IS NOT RELIABLE AND VERY DANGEROUS.

For “Build” these training wheels should get 5-Stars. For “Usefulness” they might get 1 or 2 stars: thus the 3-Star Rating. If the rear Axel on the intended bike isn’t At Least 6” long they Will Not Fit. My mistake was buying them for a 20” BMX bike for my grandson. Most bikes like this are “Big Kid Bikes” where the assumption is that they already know how to ride and balance on 2 wheels. The axel on this Schwinn was only 5-1/4” long and by the time I’d get a nut partially on one side, there were no threads for the nut on the other side. The existing axel was about 120mm (5-1/4”) and needed to be at least 165mm (6.5”)

Fit in 5 yr olds bike easily and as expected. Adjustable to an extent. Daughter loves the light up action! Wheels are durable plastic similar to razor scooter type material. Good deal for what you get! BROKEN 1 year later: nut popped off right side mid ride, fortunately no major injury given the situation. Stripped, unable to repair/replace bolt or nut.

These training wheels are exactly as pictured. Every part came in the mail as ordered. Installation was very easy/straight to the point. You do need to hand wrenches to assemble, it comes with one but thankfully I had one handy. Overall it took me 30 minutes to put them on my daughter’s bike. She absolutely loved them. The bell as an addition was sweet!

Pensé que era de buen material, pero a la semana se dobló y dejó de prender las luces, además de que se mueven bastante se ajustan y se vuelven a mover otra vez, no se quedan fijan y además son peligrosas ya que como se mueven demasiado y mi niña ya se callo varias veces por este mal producto
