Looks nice but not too bright
This is a review on the 3rd brake light for a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 truck. The installation instructions were super simple to follow. You literally remove a couple of screws on each end and unplug a couple of cables to remove the old brake light and do the same steps backwards to install the new one. Aesthetics wise, this brake light looks sleek and is an improvement over the OEM part. However, when it comes to light output, there isn't much of a difference as I was expecting it to be a light brighter due to being an LED light. It still looks nice but I wish it was a bit brighter.Overall, I still recommend this 3rd brake light if you're looking to upgrade your aesthetic looks on your vehicle, but if you want something really bright, perhaps you should be looking elsewhere.

Fantastic OE Replacement
For those looking for a great LED upgrade that still maintains a good clean modern OE type look - this is the one. Great bright LEDs make the function awesome. Fit is just right, nice thick gasket to keep from leaking. All good things.

Great look, pretty bright.
(UPDATE AFTER A YEAR)- The actual brake lights still work but the cargo lights are out which sucks, but if your not worried about them it’s still going strong!(when i first purchased)-It looks great compared to my stock old one. Easy install, only took me 10 minutes to screw the new one back in. Lights look great too, everything in working order.

Nice product but!!
Very nice light assembly, fit perfectly. My only comment is it should come with a new gasket or at least warn people it doesn’t so they can plan to purchase one. The damn gasket is expensive too.

Great Light - Plan the Installation
Purchase to upgrade lights and appearance of my 2005 GMC Sierra 2500HD. Pulling the old light off was fairly easy. Foam seal around the old light needs a little help breaking the light free. However, that's not the case for installing the new light. Yes, installing the light is straight forward. I did a test fit and tested the light assembly before installing it. However, one of the clips need to be squeezed together because it would not stay in place over the hole that was used by one of the mounting screws. The bigger pain was the foam seal (gasket) that comes with the light. I made the mistake of installing the seal/gasket on the light assembly, If I was to do it over I would recommend mounting on the body of the vehicle where the light will be attached. That way it makes it easier to line up the two screws used to attached the light to their mounting holes. The other thing you need to do is use the install rubber "O" rings over the screws after you put the screws in the light mounting holes. That helps with aligning the light into the opening in the roof panel where the light mounts. I mounted the gasket on the light. That's ok if you don't have to remove the light to get the screw body clip repositioned so you can tighten the light after installing it. Removing the light after first installing it is no fun. The adhesive on the foam is once installed it does not come off. Anyway, hope my comments help others.

Feels cheap but is of good quality. Had mine for a year with no problem and is very bright. However the included gasket is not sufficient to keep leaks out. Try to get the factory gasket.
