Zone 9 NE Florida - Works great on St Augustine Lawns - FOLLOW DIRECTIONS
Zone 9 - NE Florida - If you follow directions, are patient for the process to take place works great eliminating sedge and similar. Be sure you mix with Sticker fluid as directed - this holds to the weeds longer than just herbicides alone. Highly recommend!

Good job of controlling Kyllinga weeds in the lawn.
Product does a good job of controlling Kyllinga, this is a pesky weed as are all of the nut grass varietals - it will need another application in a month or so. It does slightly yellow out the Bermuda grass but the Bermuda does recover in a couple weeks.

Hasn't killed any weeds yet
I ordered this as it was hyped to be a surefire way to kill sedge grasses. I have applied it twice without the slightest discoloration of any of the sedge I've treated. I used a fine mist the first time I sprayed and the second time I used a heavy stream to coat the leaves and hopefully get some to the roots. Nothing. I am going to give it one more trial with the addition of a surfactant. Would not order again. update: Finally after 10 days, I am beginning to see some yellow discoloration of the sedge leaves. Sprayed again today with a recommended non-ionic surfactant. update 2: After two weeks this stuff finally killed the original sedge and it worked much better with the surfactant added, however, don't expect to see quick results as with diquat on grass and weeds. Also I have new sedge poking up from beneath the mulch. I guess it works for sedge just be patient.

No results
I have used SEDGEHAMMER for about 5 years. It is expensive, but it works. HALO 75 is supposed to be the equivalent product. Instructions followed, 2 weeks later no visible results. For me, a total waste of $$$. I will stick with the Brand Name, bite the bullet and pay the price. I cannot recommend this product.

Tough on nutsedge, gentle on lawn
In the past I used Ortho Nutsedge Killer which did kill nutsedge, but it was also tough on the lawn. This herbicide has only killed the nutsedge with no noticeable impact to the grass. It works slower than the Ortho, so I’m hopeful that it means a more complete kill of the plant/nuts and tubers… as a lot of the growth that I had this year was in the same areas I used Ortho on last year.
