I ordered this before a trip to China, but since my husband and I travel a lot I wanted something with multiple plug converters so we could use it again. After reading the reviews, I gathered that as long as I didn't use it with a curling or flat iron (which btw it clearly states not to use it with in the product description) I would be fine. Sure enough it worked great! It is a little heavy, but I like how it comes in a compact case that contains all the plug converters and the power converter. Exactly what I was looking for and a good price. It will definitely be used in the future as well!

I purchased this to use in Australia. The first time I plugged it in, it sparked and busted apart. It took me days to find and purchase a new converter while in Australia, and I could not charge my phone or laptop. I do not recommend this product.

Extremely pleased with the ease and performance of the unit. Only drawback is the weight for International travel, but not detrimental.

I bought this as an extra for a trip to Europe. It did the job but I found that with the recessed sockets in some countries the heavy converter can be a little wobbly when plugged in.

I bought one of these for a trip to South America. Was looking for something compact that I could use for a portable fan, battery charger & netbook. Overall, it worked flawlessly and the compact design (plus additional plugs) will make it useful for other trips abroad. Only negative was the weight, which seems to be a fact of life in these products. One caveat: You do have to pay attention to the manual 50/1600W settings. To its credit, Simran makes it very clear what settings work for what devices.

I just received this today. It has absolutely no instructions: how does it work? I enjoy using a number of high-tech devices and am no Luddite, but I just can't figure this one out. Do I need the converter and the adapter for my trip to the UK?

I traveled to the Philippines, Hong Kong, and Macau and this was exactly what I needed. I could use just the adaptor for cell phones and the transformer for hair dryer. Like others have mentioned, the transformer is heavy, but the box propped under it worked fine.

I originally purchased two of these, took forever to arrive in Kuwait via APO AE. By the time I got them I used them twice and they overheated and melted the plastic housing. They would be great if they work but they dont. Unable to send back cause of the crappy return policy. Treat these like the plague.

Great product. I bought this as a replacement one because I didn't know that hair straighteners should not be used with them. I blew mine out in England after using my straightener. Since it works great with everything else I ordered a replacement.

i would not suggest anyone purchase this item , i was using it to charged my cellphone on a recent trip to Argentina , the third day i used it set on 50 watts it overheated and melted , just from my cellphone , i can't even begin to imagine what would have happened if i was plugging in something that needed more wattage.
