A VITAL book to read to understand sustainability in context of its development
Anybody working in the sustainability field would benefit from this historical grounding. I've not seen another book like this and I've read literally HUNDREDS of sustainability books and sustainable enterprise books. Maybe because it comes from Germany, we in the US were a little slow on the uptake. This book is appropriate for a college class, a high school class, or a corporate person needing to add depth to their CSR background. Most sustainability books are shallow or parrot the obvious memes, this is original and refreshing.

A good one to read
Very interesting and written in a very understandable way. I think it is a must for anyone who is into sustainability but does not know a whole lot about the subject. It is not a book for relaxation purpose but if you want to gain background knowledge I recommend this

Very Usefull
This is a very interesting book. It talks about the origins of the term and the idea of sustainability as we know it today. It's very common today to talk about the idea of sustainability as something exclusively related to UN environmental conferences, this book shows that it's not the case. The idea older than that. The book it's a must read.

A very good intro to a career in Sustainability
Ulrich Grober has assembled some very good facts and myths about a very important field of study. We should all be educated about the past history of sustainability, and so be moved into the proper perspective going forward in our lives.
