Dino Dana: Dino Field Guide (Dinosaur gift)

This book is really great. Our 5 year old fell in love with Dino Dana about a month ago, and just from watching her shows now knows what carnivores, omnivores and herbivores are. the stories Dana shares are memorable with children! Our daughter has been doing experiments and spouting out hypothesis like she has known about them her whole life. Dana makes science look fun! And it's fun to watch our daughter learn so many different things.Back to the book itself- wow, pronunciations, pictures, and the field notes (pics and theories from the show!) after each Dino really help tie in the facts and help her remember which Dino is which.She is only 5, so we have to read it for her, but there are many pictures of things (like if a Dino is as a big as a turkey, they show a pic of turkey) to help her guess what it says. She is truly fascinated and carries her Dino fieldGuide every where she goes when she is "experimenting". We had actuallyAlready Purchased the National Geographic dinosaur facts book literally 2 weeks before this particular books release. This book popped up on my amazon suggestions and I preordered it right then and there. So far it is a great book and our daughter can't get enough! We got this book for our 5 year old son and he loves it! We have watched dino Dana for a few years so this book is perfect for him. The book is full of colorful pictures and follow all her adventures in the show. It's the exact field guide she makes in the show and it shows snapshots of the episodes. Our son loves reading about the dinos and learning interesting facts. He also likes how the book follows the episodes so if your child is a dino lover like ours they will love this! Highly recommend for any child. Even ones that have not seen dino Dana will enjoy this book.

Just as wonderful as the show! We will be getting the second one as well. My son loves Dino Dana and this book did not disappoint. Fun way to reinforce the Dino facts learned in the show.

My kids are 5 and almost 3, and they both love Dino Dana. My daughter is constantly going out to conduct her own dino experiments in the backyard, and my son can name as many dinosaurs as he can farm animals. So this field guide was a given for Christmas.It's technically above their age level, but we read it together. And because it follows the same experiments from the show, they understand it better. I really like the layout, with each experiment being about a specific dinosaur, and the first two pages of the experiment giving some basic background info (including pronunciation!) about the dinosaur before going into the actual experiment. It's very visual and focused on facts that interest the kids. I'm really glad I ordered 2, and I can't wait to order them volume 2 too!

My 5 year old LOVES Dino Dan and Dino Dana- I had no idea how much he’s learned from the shoes until we got the field guide and he could name every Dino! We have read it cover to cover and have learned so much more. He loves it because it looks like Dana’s actual field guide from the show- it even has pictures that looked taped in and notes scrawled on all the pages. It’s simple, fun and informative. Each Dino has 6 pages- two to introduce, two to give some more facts, and two talking about a Dino experiment from the show, along with pictures from the show. I am beyond impressed with this and really surprised at the quality! I really hope they also publish one for Dino Dan with different Dino’s. This book is awesome! Let’s kids feel like they are really a part of the show and learning along with Dana.

My niece has learned so much from this book- she’s obsessed and can pronounce the Dino names nearly perfect (for a 4 year old). She’s excited to share her knowledge and I love watching her learn!

These books are so awesome for kids!! My grandson LOVES them. Highly recommend them for dinosaur lovers. They are educational and fun.

My 3 and 5 year olds LOVE this book! They also love Dino Dana. This book is so educational and we have read it every single night since Christmas and it’s almost March now. They love to have the book to reference when watching the show, or just to play, or even when they are trying to remember something about a dinosaur. My 3 and 5 year old can tell you the difference between a carnivore, herbivore and omnivore. We have even gotten into heated debates about some dinosaurs and have used the book as a reference. Definitely planning on getting the Prehistoric Creatures (I think that’s what it’s called) one next!
