This little sewing machine saved my weekend fixes
I needed something small and simple to hem curtains and fix kids’ clothes without running to the tailor every time. This lightweight sewing machine has been a total win. Setup took minutes, threading is easy, and it sews straight and zigzag stitches smoothly on cotton and denim. The foot pedal feels natural, and the light helps see everything. Done several pillow covers and pants hems in a weekend with no jams or tension issues. Super quiet, easy to move around the house, and stores in a drawer. Great for beginners or anyone wanting a compact machine. Already recommended it to my sister.

Great, simple to use for everyday sewing and could sew garments and household items too!
I love this handy little sewing machine. Sometimes you just want something easy to use and this just fits the bill! I don't do a lot of major sewing any more. I'm 80 now and all the kids had left home, so it's just mending and patching here and there and "can you hem this or fix that?" So, I didn't need anything fancy, and this little Singer does everything I need and then some!

Not for a beginner
Before you even touch anything on this machine after unboxing it, go to Singer.com and watch the tutorial on how to operate it! When I opened the bottom to thread it the metal ring with clips that holds the parts in so you can safely remove the bobbin holder was not clipped in and the entire piece fell out. Luckily they have a great short video on how to thread and operate all the functions on it and I was able to put it back together correctly. Having said that, while I'm not a pro seamstress, I do know how to operate a sewing machine and I can tell you that a beginner would not be able to just set this up and sew without watching the tutorial. You're definitely going to have to put forth an effort to learn how to thread it and all of it's functions if you're not familiar with a sewing machine because the instructions are confusing and not very helpful even for someone with experience. It jams very easily as well. It is definitely light weight though and the foot pedal is a dream come true. I'm happy with it for the price.

Super awesome machine!
Amazing starter machine!! I ordered a different one originally but I could not figure it out. My mom recommended this one and man did it work great! It was easy and functions smoothly. There’s several little accessories that came in handy. It’s not a super loud machine and has plenty of stitching options that are super easy to understand. I made my daughter her first birthday dress and the machine made it so easy.

The Bobbin Continually is a PROBLEM. Good for batting practice though.
I've had the same Singer since 1985. It was easy to use and very reliable. Then it broke and was not worth repairing. I've had this new machine for four months, and I am so done with it!! It freezes up and I end up with multiple threads coming out of it, or all kinds of loops of thread inside the bobbin case. I took it in to a Joann store. They didn't have a repair person there but two separate people told me the case must be wobbly. I used a screw driver to tighten the screws. They were a little loose. But, no, the problem still exists. So frustrating because I have several pieces I need to work on right now, and I've got to find a repairman. Don't buy this machine.

Great for beginners!
i love this machine!! i've wanted a sewing machine for years. I've never used one before, I've only hand-sewn. it took me a couple days to get accustomed to using it but it's so convenient for clothing modifications! they have youtube videos online to learn how to thread it and get started -- making the process very straightforward. Just remember to snip off raw edges before you get started, as these can jam up the machine and leave you rightly scared you've messed something up as you fervently try to free the loose ends. Haha. The internal storage is also a convenient feature -- but may be too small/disorganized if you have many bobbins/tools. For a beginner, though, I think it's perfect. Love this machine! <3

Not suitable for use in UK
DO NOT BUY. Fantastic machine but can't be used in the UK, our voltage is different to USA voltage. So even if an adapter is used it would damage the inside works. Should not be advertised in our country without warning. Waste of money shipping here and returning. SOMEBODY WAKE UP AND THINK!!!!!!!!!.

Accesible y asequible. Realmente la calidad es muy buena y es muy sencilla de utilizar para todos los usuarios. El pedal responde muy bien y el prensa telas, el pie, la perilla y todos los detalles se sienten firmes. Definitivamente una excelente máquina

Great starter sewing machine
I have done many sewing projects with this machine over several years and I love it. It's a great starter machine. Do keep in mind it's not heavy duty so it's not the machine you want to hem jeans but you can sew a few patches on a single layer of thin jean material if you buy the right needles for it. I was able to redo the back of my friend's wedding dress and do a few repairs to some of the seams on the dress as well. I've made many dresses, skirts, shirts, pants, applique, minor repairs to many different fabrics, and even made a quilt. Definitely worth the money.
