Brother DK-1203 File Folder Label Roll

While I use a plastic labeling machine (Brother P-Touch units are my favorites) for many purposes, the label printing is too slow and the plastic labels are too expensive for many jobs. The Brother paper label printers attach easily to my computers (there are even wireless models), and can be carried to clients for jobs that require a lot of file folders. These File Folder labels are terrific. They let you print a little or a lot of info (the software allows for a choice of fonts, borders, and number of lines). They print very quickly, and are easy to apply - the backing peels off cleanly. I use them directly on file folders, and apply to the paper inserts of plastic tabs. The label rolls are simple to insert into the printer, and can be swapped for various sizes (to print anything from mailing labels to name badges).

I love my Brother label printer and use it for so many things. I was thrilled to find the file label rolls through Amazon because the price was so much better. You are only limited by imagination. Yes, you can use these for file folders - which we use VERY FEW of. I use them on client sheets and return labels. I use larger sizes as mailing labels and thank you labels on client order boxes and find many more reasons to use them.

I use to have a Dymo printer, but got pissed off when their software stopped working with Win 7 x64 and their tech support said was to re-install Windows. Hence I bought the Brother 710 and have been happy with it since then. These labels work great. One thing I like about the Brother style is the drop in labels (the Dymo one, you had to remove the labels from the spool, or have to have spare spools with other type of labels ready to drop in); so when you need to change out the label (from address to file folder), the entire spool comes out and you just put another spool in. Quality, I think the Brother's thermal label are smooth; you get 300 file labels for $8.00 so it's reasonably priced.

Brother DK-1203 File Folder Label Roll does the job. They fit file folders as they should. Use the supplied (downloaded) Brother software that came with the Label Printer when using these labels and you will get a good file folder label.

Don't fall for the cheap labels rolls, always purchase genuine Brothers label tape.

These are manufactured by Brother and work flawlessly in my QL-570 printer. I use them for file folder labels, as well as to identify contents of storage containers.

As always the labels Brother makes for their LabelMakers is great. They drop right in and work as expected. Will buy more when I need them.

Brother makes some of the best label makers out there and it's nice to see that they support them will a wide array of sizes. The best thing is that the printers can manually detect the size of the label in the printer and adjust the software accordingly. These labels are perfect for smaller spaces (like file folders) but also for labeling hard drives, printers, DVDs, or anything else you may want to "claim" as yours without using the large name-tag sized label.

Keep these cool and realize that they have a 'best before' date. They undergo a chemical reaction when heated or exposed to strong light such as sunlight that will, over time, make them unusable. They are meant for mailing labels that have no need for a long life. For long life, see the PT-2430PC printer and 'P' labels. Use and store them properly and they are excellent. J
