Draping: The Complete Course: Second Edition

I have spent a few years learning about fashion design, draping and drafting. I have the books that are supposedly used in fashion design schools, but this one is the best. This book has specific projects that build on themselves, as you become more proficient with the methods and techniques. The author is also a draping teacher. I am 100% self taught and I'm an intuitive visual learner. This book comes with loads of helpful videos to show you the methods and concepts of draping. I have the first edition hard copy, and the updated version digital version. The digital version has links to videos that are very helpful. I plan to get the second book in hard copy (for my sewing studio as a reference) and also the digital version as well.

Wonderful resource to learn how to drape. I am SO HAPPY I bought this book. It's kind of pricey but it's a full on course book with QR codes that take you to videos that demonstrate a lot on the concepts. It's well written, easy to understand and full of pictures, too. I think it's worth every penny and I'm super happy I came across this awesome book.

One of the reasons I sew is to make clothing that actually fits. I have a G-size chest, a shorter than average torso, long arms, and a flat butt. This book explains how to fit my body using all the different style lines using clear language and step-by-step photographs.

This book was a good investment to have in my collection of sewing books and very helpful and easy to follow instructions

this book is what i was looking for. it gives you a lesson a practice and a project so learning is hands on with this book instructions which i love as i learn hands on. would highly recommend this book, it is very informative

Love this book for college !!!

Bought a new one, and it arrived with a large chunk of the bottom corner of the front page bent over. Not too much of a problem, and it doesn't mean I can't read it, but definitely not the status of a "new" item.

I love that there are pictures for everything and some videos as well. This is super helpful for someone who is a beginner and may not understand all terminology. This will definitely be a useful resource to have.

Something to use for immediate emergency but also store for those panicky moments from family and friends in the future. Makes you a hero! Keep mine in a box marked " "For fabrics - First" Aid"

This book is full of wonderful knowledge and advice. Whether you’re a beginner or advance this book is great because it covers all the fundamental basics in an easy step by step process. It shows images of the fabric draped on the mannequin, along with flat patterns, instructions and tips and tricks. For the price-tag that it is, it’s fantastic.
