Big Dog 22' Lancer Extreme Ladder Tree Stand

Decent stand but understand what your getting... This isn't a $250 dollar stand. Be sure when all limbs are trimmed before you raise the stand to keep from bending the ladder. Also, be sure to follow the directions and use three people when putting up. Defiantly have to pull on straps to counter balance the stand so the ladder doesn't bend!

As one reviewer commented, this is not a $250 stand and he is correct. You pretty much get what you pay for, and that was fine for me. This is a decent stand for the money. Plenty of height and very comfortable. You do need two men to raise as with most ladder stands. Throw away the paper instructions and just use the front photo on the box to assemble. I purchased and assembled two of these stands without any major difficulty. Assembly time approx 1 1/2 hour.

The ladder sections were extremely hard to put together they did not line up well. The metal is extremely soft. When trying to erect the stand the top was very heavy and bent a ladder section. I was able to erect the stand with another person, an additional ladder and a rope ratchet system. Once it was erected it was very roomy and comfortable. I won't be moving it anytime soon.

Good price but poorly designed and unsafe product. The steel tubing used for the seat and tree contact bar are insufficently sized and actually bent from tightening the ratchet strap to the tree. I sat in it once and will remove it due to the safety concern. You can see the tubing has partially collapsed and bent at the tree contact bar.

Assembled per instructions fairly simple, stand was not to heavy, using the stabilizing straps only took a few minutes to attach it to the tree.
