Exceeds Expectations
My 3 year old Furion camera was rapidly becoming unusable. Not sure if it was water inside the lens or sun damage but the picture became very unclear. I was disappointed that the camera could not be replaced and so my research began. While I was happy with the Furion the display was small and the high cost of replacement was not something I looked forward to! The fact that they had no replacement for the camera was also very disappointing and I would assume that in the future the same may happen. So I started my research into a new camera system. It seems there are more choices now than even just a few years ago and pricing appears to be more reasonable. The Furion gets good reviews and from my experience the system itself always worked well. The pricing of the Furion however has not come down and in fact has increased! Some system pricing just seemed to be too good to be true! My 5th wheel is 41' long so the strength of the signal was important. After reading numerous reviews I decided on the Haloview RD7 system. This particular version of the Haloview comes with an extender or as some say a repeater that brings the signal closer to the monitor. Installation - Haloview includes everything you will need including cable tie downs, furion mounting hardware and power leads, plenty of cable to reach the front of a 41' trailer, monitor, a couple of ways to mount the monitor, the camera and the extender with mounting tape. It took me about 1.5 hours from start to finish to disconnect the old camera and install the new system. One thing to consider with the extender mount, the antenna will fold in one direction. I have see pics of folks mounting the extender in a forward orientation, I turned mine the opposite way. This will allow for a branch or other object hitting the antenna to simply lay it down flat with no damage. Just something to think about. I don't think I have ever seen a manufacturer include so many extras in their packaging. This is one of the few products that I did not have to run to the hardware store to pick up things that were needed. The caveat to this review is that I have not driven with the system yet but will in a few weeks and I will update then. Picture quality is awesome, so much clarity and field of vision, far better than my old furion. Mounting of the monitor was easy although I will be ordering the suction mount in the near future. The sound is fair however I could see this as an issue with the ambient noise of a campground but not a deal breaker by any means. Menu options are numerous on the monitor, there is nothing more they could offer here! I will now be ordering the side view cameras for added views!

Awesome camera
I previously had the plain version of this unit that didnt have the booster. On my 31 ft trailer it would become intermittent at high speed. Is still dont understand that because radio waves travel at the speed of light so 65 vs 0 mph is still effectively nothing in comparison. Anyway the montior was stolen so i bought this kit as a replacement. Same monitor as old kit. Camera is updated and now has the booster. I have to use the haloview GM PWM adapter to power these as i have a newer chevy and their 12v signal is not constant. I had to splice the output but its enough current to run them both. I have the old camera hooked up still as a backup camera and pointed it more angled toward the bumper backnup area. I mounted this new on next to it and am using it as a constant rearview mirror style camera. I routed the cabling down the back wall of the camper and under my RV, ultimately mounting the antenna module on the trailer tongue. The signal is flawless. Picture is perfect at any speed with minimal lag. Now the unamplifed camera is only used for low speed maneuvering and this on is for highway travel. Great setup and makes it so much easier to be safe while towing.

Finally have a great rear view camera!
Bought the Haloview RD7 to replace a camera system from another vendor that had significant drop out issues. Installation was not a problem - powering the camera off the top rear marker light. Swapped out the old mounting brackets for the new ones and ran the transmission cable up to the front of my 26 foot long camper. Mounted the transmitter with liberal amounts of RTV/Silicon. Got the monitor hooked up in the cab, powered it up and turned on the marker lights. The camera and monitor paired automatically and provided me a terrific view of my back yard - as expected. Finally got to road test it this past weekend on a short camping trip - about 50 miles one way. Camera performed flawlessly the whole way - didn't notice a single drop out and had very little, if any flicker. Decent field of view as well. I can see cars within about 20 feet of my rear bumper and can pick up the entire lane of expressway on either side at about 40 feet back. I am VERY satisfied with the performance of this system so far. Big test will be next month with a 1000 mile trip coming up. Looking forward to it.

Works pretty good. loses signal once a while. The night vision with the headlights coming behind you makes it useless at night.

I purchased the Haloview RD 7 in May 2021. It has been used less than 20 days since then. 15 months later the camera has failed, just outside the warranty period. I notice that I am not the first person whose camera has failed very early. Considering how expensive this unit was I would suggest that you may wish to consider other vendors. When the camera worked the picture quality was very good. The Bluetooth connection lagged a little but that is to be expected of Bluetooth. Really not a problem, Installation was straightforward.

Received the product earlier than committed and everything was in order. This has all parts required for install and I ordered the extra conversion kit to facilitate using the Furrion wiring. No change required - it was so easy. My fifth wheel is 33 feet long & the cable provided work just right when I threaded it underneath the trailer. Longer rigs will need to pass it along the roof or other means. My only disappointment was the customs / broker fees over $24. The shipping cost was clearly marked on Amazon but this was not mentioned. It was routed through the US and the fees were COD. Canadians beware!

I purchased this system over a yr ago and the picture lags a bit but not enough to be a concern. Overall I am satisfied with the system however I upgraded my truck in early 2022 only to find out that this set up does not provide enough power to turn the camera on. Haloview has an adapter that you will need to buy if you have a newer truck with LED lights. I chose to connect the camera power wire to the battery in the trailer bypassing the need to get power from the truck. Now it works as it should and I did not need to buy the adapter. I just need to flip the switch I installed by the battery.

had this system for almost 2 years with no issues until its Tx-Box transmitter quit and won't pair anymore (Pairing LED will not flash anymore). It gets power (Power LED will be on). Ordered Tx-Box transmitter twice and all failed with the same fate just within a month of use. I do not recommend this pricey system that does not last long!
