Worked fine
Served itโs purpose. Used for both dark chocolate and white, the dark chocolate was a little trickier to get out but eventually came out fine. Used it for a chess cake and got some kind compliments:)

mould to make squares for chess board for cake
I ordered this to make a chess cake in chocolate. The squares were exactly the right size for a cake 12" x 12" and the cake was amazing. The moulds are perfect.

Perfect for 12x12 Chess/Checkerboard Cake
I purchased this to make a Chessboard cake (brown & white pieces) for my son's 10th birthday party. And what a success it was!!! It is most definitely a good buy. I will probably use these again to make a CHECKER board cake (Black and red pieces) or to make candies for Christmas. Who knows!?! It's sooo easy to use!!

Great molds, NOT exactly 1.5" though
Great molds, they work well for making little chocolate snaps. However, much as the oreo cookie mold, they are a tiny bit short of the measurements in the description. They are marketed as 1.5" but they are actually 1.4x. Which isn't a big deal if you are just making plain chocolates, but if you are trying to use an edible transfer (as I do), then your carefully precut 1.5" squares will be fractionally too big and you will need to painstakingly trim off a couple of mm from each side to get the transfer sheet to fit in the bottom of the cavity. No biggie for 6 chocolates, rather more annoying when you're trying to turn out 4 dozen in an afternoon TLDR: Great, but check your measurements

Perfect for candy melts and chocolate
Perfect mold for creating a chocolate chess/checkers board or for making cake pop details like I did. I used them to make the graduation cap cake pops in the pic. The plastic is nice and sturdy, won't break easily, and is easy to clean.

and it worked perfect! Just melt the chocolate and after 15-20 mins ...
Needed this to make the squares for the top of chocolate graduation caps, and it worked perfect! Just melt the chocolate and after 15-20 mins in the fridge the chocolate comes right off the mold in perfect squares !

so it will look more like a toy insert than what's pictured here
The product arrived without any packaging, so it will look more like a toy insert than what's pictured here.

the actual product feels a lot flimsier than the pictures suggest. that and the thinness of the plastic makes me suspect that it's probably easily scratched and misshapen. it needs to be used on a stable, solid flat surface and cannot be picked up once filled / before the contents set, as it does not hold structural integrity and will bend and spill. unmoulding chocolate can be awkward. it should be fine if the chocolate is tempered properly but if there is a bit of sticking, you can't bang the mould like with a polycarbonate mould to release the chocolate, nor can you push it out like with silicone. would have returned it, but honestly just forgot and accidentally passed the return window. don't be tempted by the slightly lower price like I was. <$10 extra is well worth the exchange for a polycarbonate mould. I also wanted this because I could not find a polycarbonate mould with a similar flat shape, but it's not really worth it unless you are desperate for the shape specifically. I also don't know what instructions they are claiming are included. there was a bit of print on the small piece of paper/card on the packaging, but nothing that can be considered more than a few notes, and definitely not actually helpful if you are a beginner / aren't already familiar with what you're doing. I would probably give this a 2.5/5 - it's not totally trash, and may still be perf viable for some purposes, but to me it's not worth a positive rating.
