HEXBUGBridge Battle Set

I bought this set for my 2 and 4 year old Grand kids. It is the Bridge battle Set as advertised, the kids think it is great fun, they have named their hex bugs and have races from one end of the set to the other. The original batteries conked out on the first day, I recommend getting extras. The bugs are lively and unpredictable, their actions seem almost lifelike. They do great on hard floors, but they cannot move in carpet. They are very durable, the kids have stepped on them several times with no ill effects. They have really enjoyed playing with them, highly recommended!

This was my 6 year old son's favorite gift this year. It beat out a DSi XL Nintendo DSi XL Red Bundle with Mario Kart, a plethora of Ben 10, Legos, miscellaneous Star wars items, a few Iron Man items, Wii games/accessories, the new fully auto Nerf Nerf N-Strike Stampede ECS, Bakugans(?) including ColossusBakugan Dragonoid Colossus. He was really good after a move from Idaho to Michigan which included starting a new Montessori school.Pros:* Really cool how the Hex Bug Nano find their way around the tracks even when multiple tracks are combined.* Hex bug Nano appear to be "smarter" than the toy really is which leads children image how it works* Works seamlessly with other sets* Online aspect to "educational" aspects which would deserve another star if not entirely separate from the hexbug. I really love this aspect, but I do not consider it directly part of the toy's star rating* Fills the construction needs of the building blocks and combines it with the movement of train sets & hot wheels in addition to a touch of personality (Which desperately needs to be explored in my opinion!) like any good toy that lets you have a personal attachment based on imagination.Cons:* After extended periods Hex Bugs will crawl over each other on one way tracks when going opposite directions and be F R E E to roam.* Hex bug batteries are expensive, however BULK watch batteries which work are dirt cheap about $7 per 100 batteries! I love it & my children live it! It is a very entertaining toy!

I put this set together for my little nephew (3 years old) and he loved the little vibrating bugs. He quickly bored with it, as did I, when you realize that the "battle" is really just a matter of which bug will fall off the orange disc on its own accord. The bugs themselves seem fairly durable with high grade silicone for the body and a buff inner vibrator/battery compartment. The track snaps together fairly easily but the legs that hold up the upper levels are very wimpy and wouldn't last a solid play session with younger kids.Apparently this set has two "ultra rare" bugs (the white and black one) that only larger sets come with so yay for adding to your kid's collection.Do yourself a favor and tack on a large pack of button batteries to your order if you plan on playing with these for more than a day or two.

This gift was such a huge hit last Christmas for my grandsons aged 4 and 8. The giggling as they watched the hex bugs navigate their way around the tracks was off the charts. I took multiple videos of the boys laughing and squealing while playing with this set and I watch them to this day just for a laugh. I did order extra hex bugs and they came in handy.

This is essentially a new take on the old vibrating football field toy from the 1970s, except now the players do the vibrating. Each "bug" has a tiny little vibrating motor, and angled rubber legs turn the vibrations into forward motion. They bounce into things and each other randomly, so the action is different every time. They will even right themselves if they flip over. On hard surfaces, these things run like cockroaches. Personally, I think it's more fun just putting them on the floor and seeing where they go. Just keep an eye on your pets.My niece and nephew love this set. It seems well designed and durable (time will tell). You can mix and match pieces from other theme sets to make things more interesting. It was, in fact, the Bridge Battle Set that arrived as described, and Amazon's price was lower than any local store at time of purchase.

Great toy for elementary aged children and up! Connects with other hexbug sets to provide hours of entertainment! Those that come with the hexbug are preferable. When I went back to order another, the price had gone up significantly so I did not purchase it!

The picture on this page is not the set that you are going to receive. The one you will receive does not have nearly as many pieces as the one on this page. You can not construct ramps for the bugs to go up and down. Don't be fooled by this like I was.

Meine 5- und 7-jährigen Enkel haben stundenlang diverse Parcours gebaut, auf denen sich die Kakerlaken Rennen liefern oder "Kämpfe"austragen mussten. Da der Lauf der Krabbeltiere nicht zu steuern ist und sie sich flink -kakerlakengleich - auf jeder glatten Oberfläche, auch aufwärts, bewegen, ergaben sich für die Kinder immer wieder unerwartete Situationen. Die Batterien halten mehrere Stunden. Wirklich sehr zu empfehlen.

Un juego muy entretenido para los niños, ahora bien fulminaron las pilas en una tarde.Debería llevar más pilas de recambio y avisar de la poca durabilidad de las mismas.Eso sí, pasamos una tarde entretenida.

Nonostante non ci sia molta interazione durante il gioco, i bambini ne sono comunque divertiti e studiano perrcorsi alternativi, anche artigianali. Simpatico, lo consiglio rispetto agli altri kit HexBug per la competizione degli insetti che rievocano un clima da bisca clandestina ;)

après avoir vu des vidéos sur ces petits 'cafards' ,je me suis décidée à acheter les hexbugs nano pour ma périscolaire avec construction de labyrinthe en légo, les enfants ne pensaient plus qu'à jouer aux nanos alors j'ai également acheté un habitat qu'ils modifient à leur guise...ce qu'ils adorent c'est modifier les obstacles en ouvrant et fermant les petites portes oranges!seul bémol c'est qu'il est soumis à rude épreuve et que je dois essayer de recoller une jonction!mais ils adorent et je crois que Père Noel devra passer bcp de commandes chez Amazon!!
