1/8" (3mm) Dark Red Translucent Acrylic Plexiglass Sheet 12"x12" Cast (0.118") Thick Nominal Size AZM

An old habit from my college days, running a TV while sleeping. 50 years later, I still have a TV going. Getting older I noticed my sleep cycle being disrupted by brightness and color, so I fashioned a screen cover using this clear red acrylic. It worked! Cheers!

I wanted a filter to add onto outdoor low-voltage lighting: durable enough for the weather, color-saturated for a strong color projection on the up-lights but transparent enough to not over-dim the lights. This worked perfectly. Keep in mind that this is a thick, stiff plastic. It's not something you can cut to shape with scissors - you need a fine-tooth coping saw to cut it. Treated roughly it can crack - as I found out using a coarse saw! Over LED lighting it worked well, but over incandescent lighting the heat -might- warp it. I bought a GREEN sheet from another Amazon vendor for less than 2/3 of this unit's price, so I think there's room for improvement there. I'd certainly buy it again - it was exactly the product I wanted - though I'd see if a better was available.

1/8" (3mm) Dark Red Translucent Acrylic Plexiglass Sheet 12"x12" Cast (0.118") Thick Nominal Size AZM - $11 - nominal size is before cutting, actual size is about 11-7/8 square. I peeled back a corner, front and back, for a quick test in front of a large LED display. The red LED does show through, but I think the 1/8" thick dark red acrylic will cut too much light for my application...I'd estimate a 50% cut of the red, and nearly 100% cut of everything else. It *is* a beautiful dark red. Shipped flat in a thin package, arrived in good shape. edit: cut OK on laser, moderate odor needs outside venting during cut. Leave the white plastic cover on both sides, don't peel it back...it made a bit of a mess where it floated above the red acrylic. Peels off clean later.

Delivery on time and as described. Would buy again.

We wanted to have a light in the horse stall that wouldn't interfere with her night vision. This was used to cover the led's of a night light that turns on with movement in the stall. Seems to would okay and is sturdy and dims the white light from the led's to a lower level.

Cuts easily in my CNC, transparency and finish is consistent across the panel. Happy with the sheet for my intended use.

It’s red it’s plastic. What else do you want?

Technically speaking this product is TRANSPARENT, NOT translucent. Transparent means you can see through it, translucent means you cannot see through it except light if a light is shining behind it. (Opaque means you can’t even see light through it.) Because of the mislabeling I wasn’t sure if it was what I needed. I took a leap of faith based off the pictures (and bc Amazon has such a great return policy I could return it if it was wrong) and bought it anyway. Since it is transparent, it is EXACTLY what I needed! Please advertise correctly... it might help people like me get what they need! I know there are many other people in the art community that need red transparency for their value studies before they do their actual work! Thanks! As far as the product is concerned, it is very nice!

A nice deep red colour and crystal clear (not “translucent” as described. Needed it to use as a filter for a lit number display to show up red. Worked perfectly. Easy to cut by scribing/ snapping.
