Dextro Energy Glucose Tablets Orange 47G X 6 Packs

I grew up with Dextro Energy in Germany and I am very happy to continue using this product in the US. I run a lot into situations of hypoglycemia and Dextro Energy is fixing this problem fast and reliable. Of course the price is much higher than what I pay in Germany but I still stay loyal to a product that never disappoints. Highly recommend!

Very economical if used properly.

I've only had a couple but they absorbed quickly and are only supposed to be for emergencies of blood sugar drop and sugar crash. If you're an energy drink drinker and experience crash cuz you like the sugar kind they probably would help that too.

My grandmother is a diabetic, and this has proven to be a godsend for her numerous times. When her blood sugar levels get low, she can take one of these to get just enough of a boost in her blood sugar to pull her out of the situation, and it kicks in quickly, if very temporarily. And the increase is not nearly enough to turn a low blood sugar into high blood sugar. Just note that if you use it for this purpose, find something to eat ASAP. This boost in blood sugar will quickly fade within a hour, if that.

Great way to get glucose. Much better tasting than plain.

There’s something about these that takes me back to when my dad used to work in a pharmacy and would give me these tablets all those years ago. They’re still as good as I remember, and I take one every morning - sometimes biting it like a chocolate bar, sometimes letting it dissolve in my mouth. Good energy boost and tastes nice.

These have been around for years and used to be recommended for women to take in their hospital bags when having a baby - back then you weren’t given food at all during labour so these kept your sugar levels up during a very tiring time, and that is still one of their best uses - to balance your sugar levels when you’re doing a lot of physical work. They’re a trusted brand and when my husband who has been a T2 diabetic for nearly 20 years was given new medication that on occasions sends his blood sugars too low these were my first thought to bring the levels back up quickly and easily. These will dissolve in your mouth quite quickly if you’re feeling very weak or you can crunch them up. He’s only had to use them twice but the effects are rapid. He now keeps packs dotted around the house. They’re good value and get him out of potentially dangerous situations without him having to get more stressed looking for sugary foods. Please note - I’m not a doctor and this review is based on my/our experiences of this product. People with diabetes should always consult a GP or pharmacist before taking anything new.
