Delivers what's promised!
I received delivery of this coffee grinder today, and I opened it and used it right away! It works precisely as advertised - I got a great course ground for my French press! I'm a coffee novice, but even I could tell the quality of fresh ground espresso is remarkably better than machine-made or instant ones! Of course, when coffee beans are to be ground, a little delicate operation is required, but the product has not felt brittle nor easily damageable. I have used InstaCuppa milk frother before - and was frankly bowled over by their customer service (mine stopped charging within a month, and they immediately sent me a replacement component). This experience has prompted me to order this one from them again. Does not disappoint!

A great made in India coffee grinder
Update 2: After extensive use, I am revisiting my review. This grinder has a design flaw, the central shaft lacks any stablisation at the bottom end which results in grinder being very close to burr on one end and wide ooen at the other end resulting in a very inconsistent grind size. If this design flaw is fixed, this could be nice beginning, budget product. Update 1: Its a great product, metallic build and does the job just fine. Unlinke other manual grinders I do not have to adjust the grinder again and again, Once set it stays at the same setting. Also its at a fraction of cost of Hario. I have two suggestions:- 1) When buying you will get an option to buy grinder and cleaning brush bu paying 100 or 150 extra. The think is, its free. Once you recieve the product you will get a QR code to scan and by filling in your details, you are entitled for free cleaning brush. So I think on Amazon the cleaning brush should not be sold separately and Same goes for Instacuppa French Press travel mug 2) I would have preferred if the top part of grinder also has a glass window like the bottom part. Overall I am very satisfied with grinder and Instacuppa service. Thogh on a lookout for some nice coffee beans, tried Blue Tokai, Home Blend so far.

Great product to travel - limited in Grind levels
I bought this product as I am a compulsive coffee consumer but new to the world of Grinding. The product is excellent overall with the following comments: Pros: easy to carry Easy to use quick to grind and the measurement indicators are exact i.e. what you put in is the output as well. Build quality is good Value for money Cons: I would have liked the travel pouch and cleaning kit included or optional to buy - cleaning can be a pain as there are a few moving parts and one has to be careful not to let a tiny bolt roll away the Grinding bolt tends to slip and the variety of grind is limited. however this is an issue with most manual grinders and not just this one,

Unreliable and flimsy
Not recommended. The productโs internal mechanism is flimsy and stopped working pretty much immediately. The grinders are ceramic but the mechanism holding it in place is plastic and starts slipping and rotating internally. Seller asks to pay for the return costs and offers very slow support. Their response rate is pretty much 1 reply a day or two.

It is a great grinder! Buy it if you love your coffee ground by you.
The manual grinding takes away the error you might commit if you use an electric grinder and overdo it or if you just want to get it done by hand when you are looking for a cup of espresso. But you will not find proper instructions on the little card they include. Please allow me to give you the instructions. That said, DO NOT THROW AWAY THAT LITTLE CARD IN THE PACKAGING! It contains the number of 'clicks' you need to go for the method of brewing you are going for. Firstly, separate the upper and lower component. You will find a screw that you will need to adjust based on the coarseness that you are looking for at the bottom of the upper component. Secondly, tighten that screw completely but do not apply too much force as you will be unscrewing it in a few seconds. When you unscrew it, you will be able to feel the 'clicks' on your fingertips. The 'clicks' go as high as 18 in count and this increases the gap between the two ceramic (maybe) parts that adjust the coarseness. Keep in mind that you will only have to change the 'clicks' if you are changing the type of brew you are going for e.g., cold brew, Turkish, French press, filter coffee, espresso etc. The 'clicks' are faint so do not expect to be able to hear them. Also one click would take about 60 degrees of turn, approximately. All in all, this is a great grinder for coffee lovers and you just need some time and patience to work with it.

Best manual grinder at the price point
After 10 days of usage: I wasn't expecting it, but at this price point this grinder is really good. Pros: 1. Very very easy to use and they also provided a nice short instruction card for grind settings which is super helpful (earlier I had bad experience with another brand, it was extremely difficult to understand grind settings for that) 2. It grinds really well with freshly roasted beans. Note: You may find grind size inconsistencies, especially if you are using old/stale beans 3. Support: Instacuppa is really good with their after sales support. They also shipped the free item (cleaning brush) immediately after I registered for warranty and opted for it Cons: 1. The build could have been a little more sturdy. You'd have to hold the parts tightly while rotating the handle as the containers tend to rotate 2. Courser grind settings might get more inconsistent and I have noticed higher gap in the burrs on one side vs other in courser grind set. Not sure if it's intentional 3. Cleaning the burrs is difficult while still in the grinder. You can try and remove them. They have instructions on how to fix it back, but I haven't tried that yet. It could be the case with all manual grinders, but yeah it takes good 7-10 min for 15-20g of coffee and grinding manually needs effort, so make this choice only if you have the patience :) But since good electric burr grinders are expensive, this one works really well for the price point. Tips: 1. Do not use stale beans. Try and use freshly roasted ones as much as possible (1wk - 6wks old) 2. Clean the grinder after each use. Remove the larger particles stuck in the upper compartment before changing grind settings to finer levels 3. It will take some time to find the best grind setting that works for you for different coffee methods, be patient and note down what worked well so as to maintain consistency
