| Product Care Instructions | The first time you light the candle, allow to burn until the wax is evenly melted and pools to the edge. This ensures an even burn, and prevents tunneling. Use a wick trimmer to keep your wick at a length of ¼ inch for all subsequent burnings to minimize soot, debris, and blackening of the glass. Burn for a maximum of four hours at a time to keep the wick from getting smoky. |

Great Diptyque Candle
This is my favourite scent of Diptyque candle. I absolutely love the musky smell (especially over floral scents). It's a strong candle, I could smell it before I even opened the box. It came packaged well, there wasn't any tape covering the box. However, the wick was cut down before I opened it and the candle did seem a little small compared to my other Diptyque candles. I think this is the first time I've bought this size so that could be it, but overall I would probably buy this candle again. It burns well and smells great!

Pure fireplace cozy!
The scent is pure firewood! I am nostalgic for the heavy air that lingered from a wood burning fireplace I had growing up... now in a city apartment, this candle is such a true scent to that, without causing a headache. Diptyque candles are pricier but really burn beautifully and have scents that fill a room with pleasant atmosphere versus annoying chemical like smells.

Overrated & Overpriced
For such a highly priced and rated candle, I was overwhelmingly disappointed. However, I should have know with the soy wax. It had an okay scent. It was definitely not wood burning, though. Additionally, it did not last as long as others claimed it did. That is also likely due to the soy wax. I'd say I was robbed, but I chose to take the risk despite the soy wax.

Scent is a little odd
I was looking for a soothing tobacco-like smoky scent, but this one is all smoke. It also has an odd sort of cooking milk smell to it. Can’t quite put my finger on the other scent that is predominant in this candle. I bought a Jo Malone Burning Embers for comparison, and it seems to have a similar smoke scent without the milky undertone. The Feu de bois is smoky without that woodsy quality that I’m looking for. They’re more like almost a burning cigarette type smell. Same with the Jo Malone. Smoky but no wood scent that you’d get from a burning fire. Well, I’ll keep searching. I don’t think I’d buy either of them again.
