Bertelli Mens Thong Flip Flop Beach Sandals in 4 Bright Hot Colors and Bi-Layered Sole

This review is for the Bertelli Sandals in Red, Size 10. The review was changed from 4 to 2 stars based on comfort. I literally can't wear these for a longer than a shower without injuring my feet.I bought these for use as shower shoes, so I don't expect them to get much out use or extended wear beyond a couple of hours in a given day.These are plastic / rubbery sandals with a distinct plastic smell well you take them out of the box. This faded in few days, even without getting them wet / washing them.Construction: These sandals are cheap but functional, the type of thing you could buy at a beach shop probably for about the same price. The sandals have a little tread on the bottom, and work fine on tile or wood floors. The central strap that goes between the toes stiff, but not irritating. I didn't have to remove any "flash" leftover from the plastic molding process. The sandals clean off easily and dry quickly.Size: I bought a size 10 (US) and I normally wear a size 10 or 10.5 (US) in shoes. These do run a bit small given you wear them without socks. but while my toes are right at the front, and my heel right at the back, they are flush and not hanging over the sandal. Depending on your preference, this can be fine / comfortable. Personally, I don't like my sandals to shift around a lot, so this works well for me. If you are at or slightly above a half size (8.5, 9.5, 10.5, etc), I strongly recommend rounding up.Comfort: (Edited to reflect longer usage) I originally claimed you couldn't wear these all day, well, I now wouldn't recommend wearing them longer than the length of a shower. The sandals are functional, but I found they were leaving deep marks on the soles of my feet and some actual bruising over time. I bought the red sandals, and thought the color had come off, buy no, that was the color of my feet after wearing them - ouch! Given the material the sandals are made out of, I'm not sure you can actually "break them in", so there's no long term solution to this. I decided to go with another brand / manufacturer.

If you have sensitive feet, you may not like the nubs on these. They are not extra soft and spongey, but rather, a just a bit hard and prickly. It took me one morning to get used to that and now I really like it. They really stimulate the soles of my feet, kind of like walking on a pebbly beach, which I think is invigorating and healthy. They also have really good arch support. These are now my favorite around-the-house slipper.

These are great thong sandals! My husband had a pair that finally broke a while back and I had been looking to replace them. He has arthritis in both knees and varicose veins around his ankles, When he wears these sandals regularly, his knees do not hurt as much and the varicose veins lesson. Just bought three more pair for him so he'll have them forever. He wore them constantly while on a trip in China and Viet Nam recently and he did a LOT of walking, he swears by these sandals. Elsewhere I have found them online but more like $30 than the great price here.

I like this beach sandal. As opposed to some reviewers who exclaimed about how hard the in-sole is, I found it amazing!They have good arch support, though not the best. The little bumps in the in-sole have the same effect as acupuncture on your feet and increase blood circulation, thus, preventing your feet from aching when you stand or walk for too long.They dry quickly when they get wet.They are very light and very comfortable.The only issue with these (in my opinion) is that they run a little small.Go up a size, is my recommendation

I love the feel and the bright colors of these sandals. I have been wearing these sandals for several years and will keep buying them in the future. I really like the slightly raised feel which is not too hard and not too soft. They keep the foot sort of messaged and comfortable all day. I have also been impressed with the durability and find that I replace them long before they wear out. I highly recommend them.

The shoe was a bit small, probably should have ordered a size larger. Unfortunately, the shoes are extremely uncomfortable. They have ridges that push into the bottom of your foot that makes walking painful. I would not recommend these shoes.

There are noisy when walking on hard surfaces, like wood or tile flooring. Also, I hardly wear this sandals and already the lower sole has separated from the upper sole. The do fit well and are confortable, but poorly made. Can't understand why don't use better adhesive, especially since these adhesive have been improved significantly from the old days.

The fit on these was excellent. I wear size 9 and ordered 9. They fit perfectly! At least one of the reviews complained about the bumps on the soul. Well they are just fine and keep your feet from getting sweaty. They are actually *more* comfortable that way. I had to order the black/red combo to get my size and I was delighted with the color. (I was afraid it would look strange...). While I had ordered these just for use in the shower, they are so nice I can wear them all day and not feel out of place.
