Brothers United Men's Leather Luxury Lace Up Sneaker, White Vintage Calf, 11 M US

My husband loves these shoes and wants me to buy him another pair in blue.

I LOVE the style of these Brothers United Leather Luxury Sneakers in “Black Serpent.” I’m a sucker for anything animal print and these are on point. At first glance they may appear a general, simple sneaker, but really they’re wonderfully unique and eye-catching. They certainly deserve that “Luxury” title.I’m a W 10 (25.5cm) and, with a little toe room, the size 9 fits excellent. With the removable gel insert and padded footbed they’re super comfortable and I can walk around in them all day. However, I think they could be a tad narrow for wide feet.UPDATE: After a couple more outings, wearing super low-cut socks, I noticed that the back was digging into my ankles. So, I advise wearing higher socks or using some barrier; stick-on gel strips are available and really great for this problem.Quality is top notch; definitely not “made in China.” The individual “scales” don’t lift or peel up (even if they do, that’s the beauty of leather) and everything is perfectly stitched together. Every detail is fabulous and I can tell the designer truly cared about their work. Even the laces match the snakeskin theme; they’re shiny and look a little scaly themselves.These sneakers will add some statement to any style and can pretty much be worn with almost everything (except maybe formalwear, but if you dig that -go for it!). I can’t wait to wear these with my shiny vinyl leggings or dress/skirt outfit:).However, as handsome as these “luxury” sneakers are, the price is a bit steep ($164 at this time). Although, if I personally had that kind of money in my shoe budget I’d still justify purchasing these.Overall, a beautiful well-made, solid shoe for both men and women.

They look so good. The design of these shoes are sharp. I love the leather and the diamond pattern that is on these. I ordered these for me because I thought they looked great and I usually like wearing men’s shoes. They are just made so much better. These fit too snug for me to enjoy them. They are long and narrow. So narrow that they actually cause pain and blisters. The shoes are very stiff as well. There is no give at all and wearing them will not stretch them out. So there is no breaking these in. There is absolutely no tread on the bottom of these. So they might look really sharp but they are not practical or functional at all. These are really quite awful. I don't think I could even give these away. This is the first time that I have actually given such a low rating and a bad review. They are just that bad.

I was a little taken aback when these arrived in the mail....This is it? A little underwhelming for something that is a few smackers shy of one-fifty. Actually wearing them didn't do much to change my mind. The back of the shoe is STIFF, and really hurt the back of my ankle when walking. The size I'm wearing is actually a half-size larger than my actual shoe size, and they still felt tight and uncomfortable. Another reviewer talks about the "gel footbed"....I didn't find these cushioned or comfortable in the least. These, in my opinion, are one small step removed from the cheap, generic sneakers that were in vogue when I was a kid. if I paid for these, I would be sending them back.

Well, this is a step up for me, footwear-wise, I mean. I am a middle-aged white guy and I have a lot of trouble understanding how to dress myself. I really need a wife to dress me before I leave the house because I either look like a homeless guy or someone who wants to sell you insurance. These leather sneakers will up my game, somehow! They look super cool, or "dope", as you fellows might say. They have this neat 3-d snakeskin look to the leather which makes it looks cool with a distinct subtleness to it. No weird colorful logos - just a slick black leather sneaker. The soles could use some help. These are not the most comfortable shoe to wear. A pair of Dr Scholl's gel inserts would help here. I think I have another pair lying around. Did I mention I'm a middle-aged white guy? Yeah so I have a collection. Anyhow - at the next party I get invited to I am so wearing these. And maybe now I'll look like a homeless guy who stole some really cool shoes. Groovy.

Short term, I think these shoes are just amazing. I'm really concerned about the long term use of these shoes though. If I were to wear them frequently, I think it would be even worse. You see, the problem with these are the leather "scales." They look good now, but there are a few that have kind of gotten snagged and are bend and misshapen. I feel like maybe there should've been some type of glue used to keep these pieces from flapping and moving. Right now, they're holding up nicely, but I've only worn them a handful of times. I just don't recommend buying these to wear on a daily basis. I think they would get torn up and look really ugly in no time flat. That may be reason enough to avoid these for many folks, and I wouldn't blame them. Other than that, everything else is great. The fit is nice, and they are pretty comfortable. The style is certainly unique, which is why I love them so much.

I really had a hard time deciding if I like these or not and so did he. Of course they are very "high end" shoes made of genuine leather but this is different because of the Snakeskin design in the leather. The cut of the material really makes it look like snake skin so it's either beautiful or creepy and I'm not real sure which, but it's definitely different and they are superior quality and I don't use that term often.As far as quality goes they are very well made and designed plus they look nice and they are comfortable.
