The Monocle Book of Japan (The Monocle Series, 1)

The is a beautiful book! Bought prior to a trip to Japan and learned a lot of great information. When we checked in to our second hotel in Tokyo it was on display in the lobby!

Learned a lot about a broad array of topics regarding Japanese culture, travel tips and the book is just overall very stylish

I am very interested in Japan and have been impressed with the Monocle magazine, so I wanted to get this book right away. I'm sure it was prepared with the 2020 Olympics in mind . . . which is unfortunate in view of it not happening because of Covid. The size is a little unwieldy, but it is but it is beautiful with short and informative captions. It covers art, culture, food, and a lot more. I am thrilled to have it.

This Monocle Book of Japan is fantastic...extremely informative and showcasing absolutely stunning photography. It is now my most favorite book for the Japanese culture, cities, mountains, shrines, ceremonies, and architecture. A simply marvelous book in every regard. Considering the comprehensive scope of this book, it is reasonable priced and will adorn any living area. Superb. I highly recommend it.

This book is gorgeous for anyone who has visited or just loves to read about Japan. It's a coffee table book you will actually sit down and read.

I like the book. Great photography. High production value. Great quality in content as well. I've travelled to Japan a few times and it's always left a lasting impression on me everytime I go. Having this book offers a bit of a connection eventhough I can't travel to Japan during the pandemic.I will say though that I wish the book we better packed. The corners took a bit of a beating (not too much) and the edges of the cover could have used a little more protection. Not really a deal breaker but seeing as the book is a pristine white and very clean, I would have liked to have recieved it in perfect condition. Oh well.

The book is beautiful but I arrive ruined. A mess, it looks used and broken!!
