This small (less than 1/4litre) bottle is expensive but the Evaporust gel is as good as the liquid for rust removal. Used on vertical surfaces successfully. Perfect size for households.

Worked well on surface rust on vintage mid century garden tables and chairs. Applied the gel and let it do its work. The product although effective was not really a gel it was too fluid the cling to vertical surfaces. The photos are after rust removal.

You’ll see a lot of negative reviews because some people received a bad batch. If yours is liquid or has a Jell-O-like consistency, you likely received a bad batch. Return it immediately. It should have the consistency of hand-sanitizer gel. For best results: • Brush off the area first. • Apply the product with a brush. • Let it sit for 1–2 hours. • Rinse/wipe off. • Immediately apply a protective layer, such as penetrating oil, to help prevent the area from rusting again. One thing to note: This is a small bottle. The listing does state 8 oz, but the size is easy to underestimate. I’ve pictured it next to some lip balm for scale. For another comparison, a standard soda or beer can is 12 oz, so this bottle is even less.
