Shure AMV88-FUR Rycote Windjammer Windscreen for MV88

this little wind screen is just dandy! It fits snugly on my Shure mic. Two days ago I was interviewing for my public radio program at the re-opened 1907 railroad station in Wasilla Alaska. Inside it was not needed but I had prepared as it was a cold, very windy blizzard outside. We were all waiting for the first passenger train to make the first stop in decades. I was outside for long periods and it preformed quite well. It was windy, cold and too much snow! Thanks!

As long as you understand the limitations of attached microphone, this little windjammer will help cut down on wind noise. Perfect for light or possibly even moderate breezes, but you’ll probably want a more robust setup for consistent or stronger winds.

This is a must have for any mic used outdoors. Fits over the foam cover tightly. Never had to worry about it falling off. I was out in some light rain and it even helped deaden that pitter-patter sound as well.

A bit on the expensive side, but well worth it if you need to record meetings, live sound. A cell phone selfie stick works great as a mini boom.

Absolutely eliminated all wind noise with the mv88. The securement though is horrible. Just fits over and no thought went into an elastic that would hold the cover on.

The foam ball helps wind noise by itself, then adding the windjammer over it adds even more wind noise reduction. Works really well. As others noted, it's expensive. Definitely worth it.

Works perfect, but it looks like a mouse is eating your iPhone. It uses the foam thing that comes with the unit on the inside, so it really is about the size of a mature mouse. Other than the rodent aspect, it looks like you know what you are doing to other audiophiles.
