Years ago I bought a Body Beautiful brand open top shaper and it is just about worn out. I've been trying replace it unsuccessfully. This is a close second to that one! The color is just slightly darker than my fair skin tone. The control is closer to medium than light. (I tried one that was so constricting it took 2 people to get it on me!) This one is nice and long, so stays tucked in well. I've had abdominal surgery in the past few months and it hurts when jeans rub on my incision, so this shaper allows me to wear light tops untucked and still protects my skin. I like that the straps go straight across my shoulders, not slightly inward to the back so it stays unseen with more open neck tops. The only thing I do not like as well as my old shaper is that the arm holes are a bit big. If they were cut smaller, I could have some control over the "back fat" that shows between the band of my bra and the back side of my underarm. Still, I'm pretty happy with it.

I wore the shaper under a size 22 dress that fit fine without it - I did not need the shaper to be able to fit into the dress. I was just looking for some smoothing. For the event I attended where I wore the shaper, I was mostly sedentary with a couple of trips to the bathroom and a couple of slow dances. The shaper rolled up on me (and collected at my waist) several times. It might have stayed in place better if it were longer. It barely reached my upper thigh. Also, the amount of “shaping” was minimal. I believe that the sizing was appropriate. It seems more like the material isn’t strong enough for someone my size. Had I gone with a smaller size, I fear I would have completely blown out the garment, and I’m not optimistic the shaping would have been any better. I wish I hadn’t bothered and saved myself the tugging and rolling. It’s possible the shaper would work better for someone just a little overweight, but not so much for my size.

I bought these to help support and compress a large umbilical hurnea.I could put extra compression over this if I need too. It stays down and doesn't ride up. Very nice fit and long enough to cover what I want. Nice light Compression and Support. The straps could be wider but they are comfortable and do not pinch.

Has very light compression, shoulder straps do dig in to your arms like other reviewers stated, not bad for around the house or to smooth you out. According to the size chart i should have gotten a xLarge but ordered a medium and that was large on me.

This works pretty good. Smooths your tummy out. It rolls up some; so i find my self readjusting throughout the day.

Fits and looks good. Comfortable too. Only thing is, I wish it pulled my lower stomach in a little more. I like that it smoothes out my stomach area though.

Works just as well as more expensive ones.
