Solid & Smooth - Expensive but does its job
Solid design. Smooth action. Not sure if this is a good value or not. There are cheaper drawers this size you can buy, but because I have not purchased them I cannot compare. For me, this drawer met my expectations for quality and functionality. Given that, it was worth the money to me. The drawer open is a spring latch you push down and then pull out. Works fine. No screws came with the drawer so you may need to purchase them. It is a true double rack height drawer.

A great drawer
Exactly what I was looking for in a rack mounted drawer. Fits perfectly in my 6u Gator Pro Series Molded rack case. This unit is too large for the shallow rack mount cases. Drawer slides in and out nicely. Will not pop out on its own. Comes with locking mechanism that can be installed after purchase. A great place to store cables, pedals, notebooks, guitar accessories, etc. Would recommend to anyone.

Nice and sturdy
Drawer is well built, very sturdy. Down side is you need two hands to open the drawer, one to push down the button and another one to pull.

would have been perfect with a quality lock
Heavy, but sturdy. The lock broke within a couple uses though, absolutely fell to pieces, making the whole drawer useless in my rack case setup.

Nice addition to a Gator 6U - storage
Decided I wanted to add some administrative space to my amateur radio go-kit. This works really well. I have also fastened items to it using small sheet metal screws in place of another rack. Drawer requires a push to close - its not slamming around. Secures well. Comes with a key/lock that is optional to install. Roomy for lots of note pads, extra field items and I also store my microphones in them. Glad I got it.
