When I first moved to MI I needed something to sleep on, until I got my furniture. This was the right length and was super comfortable. I used it on and off for a while, and then, when doing a little car camping, pulled it out and cut it to fit the back of my hatchback. It worked like a charm, and stashes under my bed. Definitely better than an air mattress - this will NEVER spring a leak! Great quality, probably more thick than I needed - it has stood up to a lot of wear and was a very good value for the money.

I bought this, opened it up, and quickly sent it back. Not for the fault of the product, but because I ordered the wrong size. I have another one on its way in the correct size. This product is exactly what I expected, other than the sizing, which was my fault. “Measure twice, select once, double check the order before submit.”This comes in a small box very compressed. I was not able to return it to its original packaging for returning. The box I used was 50% larger and I had t place it in a garbage bag and use a vacuum to shrink it down. Then close and tape it up before it expanded.It’s nice that the company offers the pad in different widths, lengths, and thicknesses. You can also order it in two different levels of firmness. I ordered the first in semi firm, but I ordered the wider version in firm.Because I’m adding this to my mattress, I ordered the 2 inch. Most people would do fine on a 1 inch. If I were using this as a pad to sleep on the floor, I would recommend at least a three inch. So much of this is a personal preference.Two things that this is not, which was great for me. This is not memory foam. It is a slab of solid upholstery foam. It also is not egg crate in shape. Egg crate mattress pads, and memory foam is easy to find. It’s hard to find this at an affordable price, but his seems to be the most economical way to purchase.

I ordered the firm 1" foam, and the foam itself is quite nice! Still very squishy (more of a mid-firmness upholstery foam in my experience) and no smell, so worth the price imo. However, the way it's packaged unfortunafely leaves much to be desired. It's folded in half lenthwise before being tightly rolled up. Unfortunately this leaves a deep crease (& lots of wrinkles) in the foam that relax a little with time but possibly never quite go away. The photo shows one of the freshly delivered rolls still taped up, and a just-opened roll with the crease and wrinkles. I opened one of the 3 rolls I ordered a few days ago and while it's relaxed enough that I think the deformations won't hinder the project I bought all this for, I'm still disappointed that it wasn't smoothly rolled and will probably never be entirely smooth like I needed. Maybe I can use the heat from a hairdryer/heatgun to ease the worst deformations out, but I wish that wasn't a necessity. Also the foam is partially wrapped in a protective sheet which is much appreciated, but not all of it was covered like the top & bottom ends of the roll. Thankfully these look clean on my order so no harm in this instance, but if they're stored somewhere dusty or are shipped in damaged packaging, that might not be the case. So good product, not great packaging.

6 inches of thickness made for easy replacement cushions. It was easy to cut to size needed. The newly repaired cushions look brand new. There wasn't any discoloration and is very comfortable to sit on giving all the support needed. Did a great job at making an old worn loveseat new again.

I have a lot of chronic pain and I’ve always had to try to create a zero gravity kind of environment on my bed in order to lessen the pain when I sleep—usually with several feather beds, eggshells, memory foam mattress covers, pillows, blankets, towels in there—whatever makes it even and comfortable until a sleep number bed comes into the picture. I needed a new solution for my bed drama. I got two of these 5” semi-firm. And then tried just laying on those two in bed to lay on top of. Too firm. So what I did was used a big long bread knife and cut one into long strips. Then I put the strips together and duct taped them loosely to give more movement and less hard surface area. Then put that on my bed, added layers on top. Perfect solution. I had been having to recreate/reassemble this craziness every couple nights. Now it lasts for weeks. Huge. I also used part of the other one and cut it in strips (so I had 6 strips each 12”x24”) and laid three lengthwise across and underneath the couch cushions that I primarily sit on. then I stacked the other 3 on top of the first three so it was 3 strips w two layers each (12x24) under where my two couch cushions come together that I primarily use. Over the last couple years since I got this couch, as the cushions compressed, I had been shoving several blankets and pillows under in this area of it to try to help the pain in my hip when I laid on my side. It felt like I wasn’t even on cushions but was feeling the support bars for the couch. Hurt a ton hence why I’d been shoving padding under that section. This product, cut up in that way, immediately solved the problem on the couch hurting my hip. And now the couch lays evenly vs this huge budge of padding. So love these two solutions I was able to find w this. Total life change in the pain dept. not only that, these are so much more sturdy and HALF the price and thicker than traditional eggshells or even memory foam. We have a few left over strips that I’ll find a use for but wanted to share my trick of what I did to solve that semi-firm was still able to be comfortable for someone w a lot of pain by cutting into strips, taping back together to take even a bit more of the firm out. Super easy to cut w that bread knife. My man was trying to use a carpenter’s knife and it just caused chunks to come off and go everywhere. Bread knife is ur best bet if it’s sharp! Totally love these will buy again in the future. The reviews are what sold me on this product and I now echo them. Great product, arrived fast and has really impacted my life in terms of pain, hassle and even esthetic w not now having this huge bulge on my couch where all the padding was. Don’t hesitate this stuff rocks.

Best $36 I ever spent. Firm comfortable and was easy to cut with serrated knife.

A nice medium level firmness without an annoying scent. Perfect for sofa cushion replacement (although I added a surround of firm batting ) .
