Works great

When I bought this, I figured the fact that they mention the DAC would mean that it'd be better than no special DAC at all. I wasn't expecting the world, but it sounds the exact same as the headphone jack in my laptop. So it's not gonna boost your audio quality like crazy (or at all), it's just an adapter. I CAN however confirm that these are better than super cheap adapters you might find here, though. The build quality is also pretty nice, so there's that. Overall, I'm glad it works, but don't be fooled into thinking it'll sound better than any other adapter. As an update, they broke after about 6 months which isn't good nor is it bad. Update 5 months later: the connector has become wiggly, meaning that it is functionally broken. I guess that's not too bad all things considered, but I wish it lasted longer. Update a few more days later: I bought JSAUX adapters and Qianlink (2-pack) adapters (I just want to see if these were actually special or not) and they sound SIGNIFICANTLY worse than these. They all have a white noise hissing, indicating interference. This is the only adapter of the three that doesn't do that. Looks like I'll be picking up this one again.

Nicely constructed. Looks and feels high quality. Sound is good. I haven't heard any of the anomalies in the output people have described with DACs like scratchy sounds or tones.

Good quality, an excellent fit on either end. Sound is perfect. I use Bluetooth headphones when listening to music on my phone, but every once in awhile I forget to charge them, so I carry a spare set of wired headphones that I can use to watch/ listen to the TV on most gym equipment. With this adapter I still carry around those wired headphones, but I can now listen to my phone and my chosen music instead of the blah blah blah of new shows etc on the TV.

Works great

I've been using this connector for three solid months now, and I'm generally happy with this product. The sound quality is good, and it doesn't fall out of my phone, so as far as an audio jack adapter is concerned it meets the physical characteristics I wanted. However, once every two or three days the connector will malfunction and spit out a jarring, ear splittingly loud static noise that does not stop until the connector is disconnected and reconnected to my phone. I've tried to troubleshoot the problem by using a different aux cord in my car or different head phones and it still makes the sound. My only warning is that if you buy this adapter be prepared to jump out of your skin the first time this happens. On the bright side, if you're falling asleep while driving, this quirk will wake you up immediately.
