Great V-Brakes and Great Pprice
These are great and work like the information states. I purchased new Shimano V-Brake and it came with the Shimano black V-Brake brackets. I noticed the ones I had on it before had some wear on them. I did a lot of downhill last summer. So, these will be in use by the end of summer of 2026.

Reliable Stopping Power for Everyday Rides
I swapped these onto my daughter’s bike after her old pads kept squealing, and the difference was immediate. The braking feels smoother and more controlled, even when she’s riding through puddles after rain. Installation was simple with the included wrench, though I did notice they wear a little faster on steep hills compared to flatter routes. My son tried them out too, and he liked how quickly the bike stopped without that harsh grinding sound. For the cost, getting four pads in one pack is a solid deal, especially since they perform as well as pricier name‑brand options.

20 Year Old Bike Makeover, Best Choice.
Retired WWII Aircraft Restoration Tech, where other hobby is restoring old bikes. The 20 year old Huffy was in rough shape, to where a couple long days with cordless Dremel, restored the spokes, rims, and paint to fully 90% restored new look. Adding mirror, rack & insulated cargo bags, the grocery runs are now flawless venture, vs plastic bags tied to handle bars, making mission difficult. The rear brakes for this case, the pads are so critical on very steep downhill run for 2.5 blocks into village. The standrd original pads hardened by age, squealed the entire run down the hill very extreme. Braking effort needed more surface contact. Stopped at local bike shop, spent $20 on new pads they suggested, and the new compound might be Nytrile vs Rubber, barely gripped the steel rims at all, darn scary. Found these 2-3/4" pads, and arrived today, what a nice controlled silent run down hill. Never needing front brakes to assist, and not advised, but gentle. Keep front pads standard for safe braking control - all crashing is front wheel sudden lock up. I'd like to see this Pad made slightly more full face to match face of the steel Rim contact, vs it's trimmed profile. But it's the best option for general, & down hill riding. One very cool engineering concept that will be missed by everyone, are the matching special cone faced washers included. These should be included for all pads. At final setting of pads when held tight against rims, now tighten nut, and this will make sure face of pads hit square to the rim's face. I used standard 5mm nut/10mm socket, vs the Allen headed nut for my C brake levers. Cheers

Great Price, Quality Reflect
I bought these brakes recently for my daily commuter bike, as the ones I had were getting too old. They shipped fast and were easy to install, containing all the parts I needed to swap things out. As far as brakes go, they get the job done and you can’t beat the price. With that in mind, after using them I have noticed that quality may not be as good compared to higher end brakes. These guys don’t have the greatest bite to them, which is great for preventing an accident from rapid of braking but might not be the best if you do need to decelerate rapidly. I’ve actually noticed that on steep hills it takes about 50ft to go from coasting speed to a complete stop. Also, their longevity isn’t really that great. I have about 150-200 miles on these guys and there’s about 20% of life left on them, granted this is in a hilly environment. All in all, if you just go out for a casual bike ride every few days, then these are great for you, but for an everyday commuter or competitive cyclist, I’d definitely recommend something else.
