Stacking Word Tile Game – Upwords, A Challenging Alternative to Scrabble
My wife and I love playing Upwords. It’s a brilliant family word game, offering a clever strategic twist compared to Scrabble thanks to the stackable letter tiles. Easy to learn, endlessly replayable, and perfect for anyone who enjoys strategy board games or word puzzles.

Brilliant family game
I first got this game from a charity shop, I gave it to my mum years ago. This game was a bit pricey, but I LOVE the game. I enjoy it better than scrabble. I play it with two of my children who are both now in their 20s. Play it and see what you think.

Great Game
I was surprised that this product appears brand new - I was expecting a good vintage one at the price! The twirling board makes play much easier when there are more than two playing, being able to see the board clearly is important. The tiles have tiny pegs at each corner, slotting firmly into holes in the board, and they stack up quite firmly - I have played on an older game where the tiles got nudged out of place easily. My husband and I enjoyed our first game and now look forward to playing a new game with our grandsons (11&8) in the school holidays.

a very good game
This game was recommended by friends. We played it last night and thought it was great. However the bag which you place the letter tiles in opened at the bottom on the second game. it needs to be much sturdier.

Thought it would be easy but it’s hard

Great educational game
A big improvement on Scrabble being able to change words by up building the stacks often giving several words from one base word. Great for 8 year old plus to improve their vocabulary and learn new words. Very pleased with purchase.

Poor manufacturing
The conceptbof this game is excellent but the manufacturing process is poorAfter playing a number of games the marking on the tiles is coming off with some tiles difficult to read. It seems moisture from normal handling has caused this which is clearly a manufacturing fault.
