Does not stick. I tried everything.
I needed something that would hold toilet paper in the small bathroom in my apartment. There's no room for a floor standing holder, and I can't drill into the tile walls. This holder appeared to be the perfect solution. Reviews were also great, came in a nice package, materials appeared to be solid and good quality. But I tried adhering it to multiple smooth, porcelain surfaces in my bathroom and it wouldn't stay longer than a few minutes. It would immediately fall to the floor. And that's even before I put a roll of TP on the holder!I followed the instruction card very carefully, thoroughly cleaned the tile (I'm quite type A about these types of things), kept the suction cup flat and then turned the knob to clamp the auction cup. I thought I was doing something wrong so tried again a few times to make sure I was "clamping" it correctly. I tried on multiple tiles (which are all glossy smooth), the edge of my sink, even the top portion of my toilet. It didn't stick anywhere.I wish I could return this product for a full refund.

Good product
Had a similar one of these to hold towels in our old bathroom; in two years it fell off only once. We've moved and need some TP holders and I thought I'd try these for ease of install and low cost. It fell off after 24 hours - I put a bit of water on the back of the cup to help with suction and reattached. Sure enough, it's been staying solid. I'm ordering a second one!

Disappointed
Disappointed. At first it seemed like a very tight suction on the tile, moments later it fell to the ground. I tried again, cleaned the surface to be certain there was nothing interferring, fell again. I'll be returning it.

Chrome finish peeling
Positives: Works great. Simple and effective attached to my frameless shower glass. I like that the c shaped bar that hold the roll is an actual thick metal bar and not a flimsy wire.Negatives: chrome finish is peeling and flaking at one bend of the bar that is very obvious. Serious quality control problem here.

Great for RV
I like this paper holder very much. It is just what I needed for my tiny RV bathroom. It sticks very well to the acrylic shower wall, and the paper is very easy to remove whenever someone takes a shower. Then this holder can be used to keep the shower curtain against the wall. One thing to note: only the rod that holds the paper is metal. The rest is plastic that has been coated to look like metal. To my eye, it looks pretty good.

DOES NOT SRAY ON THE WALL SO IS A WASTE OF MONEY
This is a joke. It WILL NOT STAY ON THE WALL. Therefore I must return it. Unfortunately I read the reviews and chose this one. Poor decision for sure.

Works also for hand towel!
Looks great. I couldn't find brushed nickel anywhere so I settled for these in chrome. Easy to install. Like a previous comment I licked the back and somehow it made it stick a bit better. I used one for a hand towel.

Ingenious
I have a 5x8 space challenged bathroom. I tried tank mounted and freestanding toilet paper holders. They didn't do it for me and I wasn't sure where to drill in the tile for a permanent location. This fits the bill perfect. It swivels down making it low profile and the suction cup is really strong. Great idea. Super happy

Great holder - no issues
I didn't want to drill through my tiles so after much checking of Amazon opted to give this well reviewed holder a try. . .Absolutely spot on!Dead easy to fit. . .- Make sure the area is spotless- Wet the back of the suction cup- Press onto the tiled area firmly- Twist the suction cup to fasten down- Return to the holder an hour later and tighten further if you can- Stick your toilet roll on!Remember those sucker dart guns as a kid? You'd lick the suction cup on the dart to make it stick. Same principle here!Mine hasn't fell off once since I fitted it several months ago and it looks good once up.

Epic!
Our downstairs bathroom is somewhat narrow, so fixing a toilet roll holder in the conventional way just wasn't feasible. Luckily we have a glass shower door, and this little guy sticks perfectly to it. You turn the big knob and it draws the suction cup out making a tighter and tighter seal... I reckon you could stand on this bad boy it's so solid.... Disclaimer: DO NOT STAND ON THIS BAD BOY.The main suction mechanism is a chrome effect plastic with a rubber cup, and the bar itself is a lightweight chrome effect metal.Upstairs we have a wet room so don't really want to be drilling into the tiles and risk damp seeping in over time, so one of these stuck to the tiles to (FYI we remove the toilet roll when using the wet room shower :-))No drilling, no holes... perfect.

Great suction cup holder
I have used a fair number of suction cup holders for various reasons. This particular one is probably one of the most powerful I've seen, it really looks as if it is glued to the wall (in my case, a glossy tiled wall). OK, I've only used it for about three weeks now, but I have to admit I'm very pleased with it and it also does look more expensive than it is. Really practical as a toilet roll holder, I can definitely confirm the good reviews other people have posted.

No drilling, no mess - and a doddle to fit!
We recently moved house and needed toilet roll holders for our small downstairs loo and our ensuite bathroom. Both had been beautifully tiled and fitted out but didn't leave much space or provision for toilet roll holders. We wanted a simple, flexible solution - one that didn't involve drilling holes and causing potential damage (my other half has little faith in my DIY skills). Decided to try out these Max Hold holders and have to say we are very impressed. They are so easy to assemble and then fit to the wall - and if you have a change of heart and want them repositioned elsewhere, they can be simply removed. If you are considering purchasing any of the Max Hold range of fittings please ensure that the mounting surface you are using is suitable. In all fairness to the company that sells them, they do clearly state which surfaces these suction cup mechanisms effectively work on. However, I have noticed a few reviewers who have been disappointed after trying to apply them to the wrong type of surface.USE - on Smooth Tiles, Smooth Glass, Mirror, Smooth Acrylic, Smooth Plastic, Smooth Marble, Smooth Ceramic.DON'T USE - on Lime Wall, Painted Wall, Wallpaper, Wood, Plank, Stone, Rough Tiles, Rough Marble, Curved/Rippled surfaces.I think this is an excellent product, so I've now ordered a towel ring from the same supplier. Highly recommended.

Simple
Well, my toilet roll holder broke 4 years ago so I bought this one. I had hoped that my partner would have fixed it but as that didn’t happen and I was tired of the stretch and swivel exercise that had to take place each time I used the toilet, I decided to purchase this. When I first put it up it fell off in the night, but since then it has successfully stayed up for several weeks, you really need to turn the tightening thing at the front. I’m so pleased. It also meant that I didn’t have to look up videos on how to screw in a holder, I really don’t have the patience right now to be dealing with it.I continue to wait for my partner to remove the old holder bracket.
