Absolute LIFESAVER
Alright, first off, do not get the Trekz Air. These are MUCH better and worth the extra money. Anyways, here goes. This thing is amazing. The battery lasts me a whole day of gaming. The open ear design really helps. I can perfectly hear my surroundings while hearing my music or game audio crystal clear. The button is also conveniently placed, as I can easily press it with my shoulder if I have full hands. This thing is REALLY comfortable. I occasionally forget I'm even wearing it. The microphone. For how small it is and how far from your mouth it is, it truly impresses me how it delivers such clear sound. Theres only one thing that isn't the best. It isn't enough to bring the overall review down by one star, but it's still not perfect. It's the audio. More specifically the bass. If you like listening to bass boosted music or dubstep, this isn't for you. Anything other than that is shockingly clear. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who is looking for a headset that won't break the bank. It's water resistant (I could even shower with them on), has crystal clear audio, even with the open ear design, connects easily, has a long lasting battery, is extremely comfortable and is very lightweight.

Great headphones!
Bone conduction headphones provide some advantages over traditional in-ear headphones primarily during outdoor excercise activities where you need to be aware of ambient sounds for safety. I use bone conduction headphones when running, cycling, and working out. I used to use Vidonn bone conduction headphones and was pretty pleased with them except for a few issues that have been addressed with the Aftershokz headphones. The Vidonn headphones had average sound for bone conduction headphones, it was ok; but not nearly as good as a nice pair of normal headphones. The Aftershokz sound quality is superior to the Vidonn's, sounds good and is on par with average traditional headphones (not high end audiophile headphones). The Vidonn's have a charging port with a rubber seal flap which is an entry point for moisture. During long runs or rides, the Vidonn controls would begin to act wacky impacting streaming play. The Aftershockz are fully sealed and use a magnetic induction charger which prevents moisture issues. The Aftershokz are also extremely light and small with a high quality soft rubberized surface - once I put them on, I forget they are there. Battery life has been fine and there are notifications when running low. I have been very pleased with these Aftershokz and would recommend them. If you haven't tried bone conduction headphones, check them out!

I absolutely love them. I have recommended them a few times. Have had them for like 2~3 years and I'm still in love

Great product - protects ear drums and super convenient
Great product. Unique magnetic charging port, which in its own way is well designed and kind of a cool feature. A common connection, like USB-C, would've been so much better (hence the 4 stars). I wish they would make a slimmer version to fit inside a motorcycle helmet. This way motorcycle riders can avoid inevitably going deaf by using noise blocking earplugs, and still be able to connect to their phones for clear phone calls or music companionship. I hope Shokz, the manufacturer would take note and come up with something for motorcycle riders soon 🤞

Better than anticipated
I purchased these specifically so I had something to wear while at work. Naturally, I need to be able to hear my surroundings, but having music helps me focus & stay productive. These are fulfilling that purpose quite well. I was surprised at the sound quality. I was certain this bone-conduction thing was just a gimmick. Turns out, even with ear plugs in, the sound is rock solid. The bass is a little below average, but given the size of the headphones, it's not surprising. Still, decent enough to make for some good listening through my shift. The ear plugs that come with it are generic & useless. My loop ear plugs work quite well with them, & I think it would be beneficial for a partnership with them so loop ear plugs are included with the headphones. Despite my mild complaints, these headphones are worth every last penny. I bought this pair specifically because they were advertised as having an 8 hour battery life. This is just enough for a shift at work & I figured as the battery ages, I can still charge them on my lunch break. Well, it turns out the 8 hour battery life was false advertising. On the first full charge, the battery lasted 16.5 hours. I couldn't believe such a small battery could hold a charge for twice what it's advertised to do! If you're at all on the fence about these, take the plunge. You will not be disappointed.

The product is super, for what I want to use it for. Don't think you will get high volume of high quality sound out of it. If you want more volume you have to put earplugs is. But for pleases with lots of sound these are ideal in combination with ear protection. I also like that when I am running I can still hear what is around me. Minus parts is that i ordered with this supplier and paid for it, and days later I get a message that it is out of stock. So had to buy it for a other supplier

I LOVE these headphones. I was really unsure about them. I'm not exactly an audiophile, but I'm definitely very fussy about what earphones I buy. I typically user Bowers and Wilkins PX over-ear headphones and some Fidue A83 in-ear headphones. More recently I had purchased Jarbra Elite Active 65T for workouts etc. If I'm listening to music, I want to hear everything, feel everything, but what can be taken for granted there is that you're isolating yourself from the world around you. I went running with my wife last night and I wore the Aftershockz Aeropex and she wore her Jabra Elite Active 65T's. There were some lightning flashes in the sky and the moon was an orange ball. I was talking to her naturally, but she couldn't hear me - she was in her own world. When she wanted to talk to me, she'd almost mime, like there's a window between us or something. It was very telling. I felt free. I could hear music and what was going on around me and that's wonderful. I hadn't realised how much I would value that or how much the isolation of my other earphones/headphones was limiting how I wanted to use them. I think it's important to understand what these headphones offer. They aren't perfect, they aren't necessarily for every situation, but I've found I use them ALL THE TIME - at work, walking around the shops, using my bbq, at the gym. I don't feel rude, because I'm not isolated, I can communicate with people easily. These are liberating. Think of how you feel when you're listening to music playing from speakers vs when you're listening through in-ear headphones. That's the experience, but the big difference is that you're not making anyone else listen to it with you! It's as big of a game-changer as Bluetooth headphones, easily. Battery life: 10 hours battery is pretty epic. Once you get below 20% you do get an annoying "Charge me" audio prompt every 5 mins or so. Most truly wireless Bluetooth earbuds are in the 3-6 hours range, so these are very competitive. The magnetic charging cable is very effective. Sound Quality: I really like the sound quality. You don't get thumping bass (more of a tap) and there are definitely some frequencies that struggle, but the overall experience is brilliant once you are used to it. There's still a lot of rich detail. Vocals and strings sound warm and rich and treble is definitely present and fairly detailed. You get decent mids and if you turn them up you can 'feel' the music with a bit of vibration in your cheek (tickle). The sound stage is my favourite part. Having your ears open really opens up the sound stage and you get an epic stereo effect. Earplugs: The included earplugs are garbage. If you're listening to music in a loud area, you won't be able to hear much at all. I use Comply Earplugs (made for musicians). They do allow some outside sounds in but reduce the volume greatly. Aeropex has two equalizer modes (one for earplugs and one for open ears). When you switch to the right EQ, there's actually a lot of detail there and they once again sound pretty decent - still a little warm, but decent. Sound Leakage: I have tested around several people and nobody has been able to hear what I'm listening too. Comfort: When I run, I don't hear the thump of my footsteps as I did with in-ear headphones. They are light and waterproof, so you can wear them anywhere. Doesn't matter if you sweat or get wet (I've worn them in the shower). You might find that you need to re-adjust them now and again. I find the sound is richest when they're closer to my tragus (I had to google that too). They don't move too much, even when you run. Bluetooth connection: Better than Elite Active 65T. I found with those, that the signal passing through my body meant it dropped (think phone in pocket). I haven't had any connection issues with these. In summary, if you have an open mind and love to listen to music and podcasts, I cannot recommend these enough. If you ride a bike or run, this is a clear no-brainer.

I was a little unsure about buying these. I mainly listen to podcasts while running and I was a little worried about the sound not being very good and also about sound leakage at higher volumes. I needn't have worried. Sound quality is better than I expected although clearly the bass is not as good as even a fairly cheap pair of earphones but overall sound quality is pretty good and more than good enough for podcasts. I have listened to music with them also and found them fine for that also (although as I say the bass is lacking). If you are an audiophile you are probably best going for something else but even music sounds better than I expected :-) Sound leakage is a little noticeable at the highest volumes but nowhere near as bad as I feared. Above about 75% volume there is some vibration which although a little strange is not particularly uncomfortable but I guess most people would not get anywhere near that level of volume.... I wear mine around the house as well as for running and it's easy to forget you're wearing them! They are very lightweight. Battery life seems good also :-) For running these are quite useful. I frequently run along canal towpaths and can be pretty slow so it's useful to know if somebody is approaching from behind so that I can move out of the way and let them past :-) Very happy!
