The Unteachables

Omgosh! This book is so well written. I couldn't put it down. My granddaughter told me to read "unplugged" so when I saw this title I figured I'd try this first. The way the whole thing unfolded and how well written! Every kid should read this book. I read "where the red fern grows" many years ago and it's still one of my favorites. This book is right up there with it. I laughed and cheered and felt all the ups and downs with the kids!

GREAT book!!! My students loved it and loved the characters. It was funny, entertaining, but also has a life lesson.

My HS son who isn’t an avid reader said he didn’t enjoy how each chapter is from a different point of view/character. Something to keep in mind if your son is like mine. Also tried The Fort which has the same structure. He enjoyed reading Holes, Swim the Fly and Harry Potter 1—which are all single point of view books

What a fun book. As a teacher myself, I know the power that can come from a group of students who love being around you and want to learn from you. This book reminds me of all the good parts about being an educator despite the hardships. I will also always be the “unteachables” teacher because they deserve that passion, just like any other student!

The Unteachables is a big page turner and I couldn’t get enough of it Gordon Korean used such presice language to make a touching story.

Heartfelt and heartwarming. The characters are developed well and you end up genuinely caring for them. If only it was this easy to engage all students.

What an amazing book. I am reading it with a bunch of students who struggle like Parker and it was so good I fished it in our snow day in one night. At first I did not like the teacher and wasn’t sure the book was a good idea but it is awesome!!

Ahh! So so good! The cover pulls you in and the rest doesn’t disappoint! So funny and at some points made me jump back on my bed! Definitely fav author now! I can’t tell you how much i loved this awesome book!
