Westek Battery Operated Wall Sconce - Chrome

These wall sconces are plastic but they aren't bad looking. I needed a little extra light in my bathroom but did not want to drive a nail into the wall. Unless you look closely you don't notice that they are plastic. They are light weight and add some light but they are not very bright. I would have liked them to be brighter but they do add a nice ambiance. If power goes out they will be perfect,

Pros.. light weight, can be installed upward or downward facing, bright, easy to use, helpful with power outage. I have it on top of my baby's changing table and it is really bright. Another specific thing that may not be needed for everyone but a fun use of this is to hang one of the baby toys from the handle and it is sturdy enough so baby can look at it while changing .. good distraction and keeps baby entertained fornthe most part during changes! Cons, battery does not last very long. You have to change it probably every week. If you use it constantly, the battery will drain in about an hour. To solve this, i am using rechargeable batteries to save on battery cost!

I didn't include a photo as I painted mine and didn't want to confuse anyone with the color. I bought chrome and spray painted it rubbed oil bronze (because I am a cheapskate and it saved me a few bucks). So yes, you can paint them whatever color you want with no prep (sanding). I just used my trusty Rust-Oleum and taped off the plastic lampshade so I wouldn't get it on there. I couldn't believe how lightweight these are! I didn't even need the anchors included (although much appreciated). It comes with two settings (one is brighter and one is a bit dimmer) and it is very easy to install. I had this idea a long time ago (battery operated sconces), but didn't know how to execute it. I love houses with built-in sconces, but am a novice when it comes to electric, so I never attempted to install the actual electric-powered ones. Now I don't have to! I will be purchasing more because the quality and price can't be beat.

I like them, because this is the second time I purchase them. However, one of the sconces loses power?? I inserted new batteries, turned them on for an hour, turned them off. The next evening I went to turn them on (I like the ambiance they give in the evening), and one of them did not turn on. I placed new batteries again, it turned on, but the next day it did not turn on. I will be returning these!!

I live in a rental with very limited lighting, I've been using the typical self standing lights as a cheap solution as I dont want to dump money into a house I will move out of. I saw these on Tik Tok and I can't believe I had never seen them before, they look great and are light enough to hang on a thumb tac! I ordered my second set after recieving my first because they are a perfect solution. My neighbor just ordered a set for her camper trailer too! So many possibilities!

Bought these for my girls room to add to their cozy bed nook feel! It definitely did the trick. I personally didn’t want to use the screws. I used the Velcro command strips so that they are easily movable when they want a room change. I will actually buy these for my room too!! Love the 2 choices of high and low light.

I bought these for the family room. I bought 2 sets. One of the sets i bought, only one light worked, so waiting to hear back from manufacturer since I threw out the packaging....One set is just enough to have a comfortable setting. It does have a bright and dim set but it's not a huge difference in lighting. Whether it is a silver or chrome finish, just know that it is plastic.

I used this in my rv and it is a super great idea to save on rv battery life. I love them. I’ll buy more!
