Full of clichés but still a joy to read
Run To You is a happy and fluffy book about two women in significantly different societal positions that get brought together for work. The book is a bit slow at first while Catherine warms up to Emily - but once she does, it becomes such a joy to read. The interactions between them were simply superb, and I adored how the author described each of their thoughts / feelings. While this switching of perspectives can be a bit confusing at times, I think it generally helps the reader relate to the characters - especially those that are more quiet in nature. One particularly enjoyable element worth calling out is that there are random adorable animal scenes that occur throughout the story. You can tell the author is a fan of dogs as she does a great job of describing both the animals and the way people interact with them. Whenever one of the characters were feeling particularly stressed, Beers would throw in a dog and things would be OK again. With all that being said, I did have a few issues with the book. The most notable of these was the consistent tension that develops starting from the point that Catherine and Emily realize they have feelings for each other. For just over half the book, you *know* what's going to happen and are just waiting for the drama to start. This made it difficult for me to appreciate some of the more sensual scenes between them as I wanted to find out what happens. On the bright side, when the problems do arise, they are resolved fairly quickly and in a way that wasn't too painful. Unfortunately, that resolution was just cliché after cliché. This isn't *necessarily* a bad thing in and of itself, but I know I was hoping for something a little different.Despite those issues, I still would highly recommend Run To You. The character interactions were squee worthy and the random animal moments sprinkled throughout brought a smile to my face. If you can get over the long lasting tension and the stereotypical climax, you're definitely in for a treat.

Enjoyed It
Our second love story revolving around Junebug Farms, and I enjoyed this one even better than Lisa & Ashley's; now we just got to get Jessica someone special. This book was an enjoyable romance between Emily the rich daughter of the family whose foundation supported the no-kill animal shelter, and Catherine the shelters accountant who grew up the youngest daughter of a single mother; Catherine not only worked for Junebug Farms, but also maintained a second job as a waitress. Two people from two different worlds, both of whom were told by everyone they knew this relationship was a bad idea, yet neither could resist spending time with the other. Not surprisingly the major road block to a happy relationship between the two women is Catherine and her inability to just "Go for it", as her mother told her.Buy it, you will not regret it

Cute.....But
The book was cute. I laughed, I nearly cried. But, I thought naming a dog after a Native American hero and Elder was offensive. Geronimo was a brave warrior against genocide. He died a prisoner of the U.S. Government after they paraded him around like a circus animal. It was hard to enjoy the story with the casual racism mixed in.

Another Winner from Georgia Beers
Georgia Beers definately did not let me down with this story. I found myself with this crazy smirk/grin throughout the entire story. I'm fairly certain that grin started with the phrase at the very end of chapter one "Snarky Gay Man was going to be so proud of her." The dialogue, whether internal or with another character just kept me engaged throughout. I'll admit that I liked Catherine's character in the 1st book but as a main character and combined with Emily Breckenridge's character just really made this enjoyable. So much so I am considering going back to re-read the 1st "Rescued Heart."As a side note: I'd also like to be a fly on the wall for Easter dinner. That and someone really should punch Clark in the srotum. Oddly enough, I dislike him but he was written in a way that if he were to be the main character in a story, one where he gets his act together, I would read that too. Can't wait for the next one, here's to hoping Jessica finds love

The 2nd in the trilogy...
Hmmm, I'm not certain if I cried more during this one or Rescued Heart. I loved them both, the 3rd - Dare To Stay - is awesome too. Although the closer I got to the end of the trilogy, the more I wished there was a 4th! Hint, hint Ms. Beers 😃😉I'm not sure what needs to be said, if you like animals & romance novels, you can't go wrong with any of these!I'm not a fan of spoilers, especially of good books from great authors, because we all have different tastes & I like to decide for myself if the journey was worth it.Just as when I listen to music and picture the story from the lyrics, if I later watch the music video, sometimes it can be disappointing to realize what I envisioned and the video are completely different.I've not bought all Ms. Beers' books yet, but I'm well on my way & I've yet to regret a purchase!

Love this book!
This is the very first book I ever read by Georgia Beers and it is still my favorite! Since then I have read everything this author has written. I love all romance novels no matter what the genre is but this one is in my top five favs of all time. Now I just pre-order anything this author puts out. Her latest book Calendar Girl brings back a lot of the heart and heat that you find in this book but ending in it leaves you feeling kind of cheated. This one does not. Chemistry between these two is off the charts and who doesn't love dogs. Buy it and other two in this series and you will not be disappointed!

Nicely done
Catherine and Emily are doomed from the beginning according to friends and family, they come from different social upbringing and their jobs get in the way. Throughout the book both women are reminded of how "wrong" it would be for them to pursue a relationship, they even agree in their mental dialogs, but as they say "The heart wants what it wants". Clark was a leach in the first book and a leach he remained, the friends and family of these ladies meant well, but there was more at stake than just careers. All in all I enjoyed the story as am a sappy romantic at heart.
