Built strong like me
I’m strong (and awesome) like these hinges

These are perfect for prop-up utility
I used these hinges to make a desk for my 14 year old who loves to draw.I cut out a section to raise up and be used as an inclined drawing surface. It turned out perfect! I included pictures. These would make nice hinges for a coffee table with a storage compartment or a box with a prop-up lid.Note: these hinges alone won’t accomplish what I’m describing. You’ll need a set of traditional cabinet hinges as well. These just provide the height adjustment.

Works well
Good price and seems to hold up well. Used it for an art table. Doesn't always catch on the last notch or the first, but other than that it works fine. All the notches in between seem to catch fine.

Raises flat Desktop to an angle
I have a small table 2 feet by 1and ½ feet This devise works great to raise the flat top desktop any angle from zero flat to an angle around 75 degrees. I usually us it at around 45 degrees. All I have to do is lift it to 45 degrees an it locks there. To lower it to the flat position, I just raise it to around 85 degrees and then I can lower it back to 0 degrees (flat). Great product.

I made it work
Overall, a good product. There is a plastic keeper that holds the sliding metal parts together and allows them to engage to hold the desk top up, and to disengage when you want to lower it. To disengage, you simply raise the top past a certain limit and the plastic keeper then is supposed to allow the metal parts to slide past one another and allow it to come down. This disengagement action did not work on the unit that I received. After fiddling with it for a while, I saw that the plastic keeper fit rather loosely and that if I could make it fit tighter then it worked. I cut a thin shim and glued it in place along the bottom of the keeper, up tight against the metal part. Works great now. The keeper and the shim are actually nylon, a special kind of plastic that won't accept just any kind of glue. I used Loctite Plastic Bonder, a two-part system. Because of this, I can't give it five stars. On the other hand, there's nothing else quite like this thing for simplicity and strength. Hard to beat that. The geometry of your installation will determine how far the top will open and your desk top will incline. My table is about 22" deep, and the table top can incline about 30 degrees.

Perfect
Very impressed, my table top is 24x36 made of 2x3 frame and 6x1 top, and only needed one bracket to easily support it with no give and wiggling. Will definitely buy again when I build a bigger tablePS! All the reviews saying its broke, are wrong. When you get it, you have to pinch the end of the arm with the metal tabs and insert tabs into holes on mounting bracket. Not brain surgery but It sucks that few incompetent people are leaving 1 stars.

Works well.
I used this for a tilt top student's desk. It works well. The only nit to pick is that when you raise the top it is easy to go past the highest position and have to let it back down to start over again.

No screws
All the parts came except for the screws which wasn't a big deal . Works well but at times gets stuck. Will probably buy from this seller again if I need too
