Shadow Tapestry Journal (Notebook, Diary) (Small Journal Series)

I wanted an inexpensive journal/notebook and as my birthday is very soon, decided to order this item as a gift for myself! I intend to keep a gratitude diary and thought this would be a good time to begin one. Despite the reasonable price, this notebook is very attractive and well made. The embossed white pattern is somewhat lustrous in appearance and the dark background has a matte finish. A black elastic band serves as both a page marker and keeps the journal closed. Inside the back cover is a pocket for papers and such. I have enjoyed all the items I've purchased from Peter Pauper Press. Everything has been of good quality and I definitely recommend their products...

I was looking at all of the different options for journals on here. Yes there are many different kinds. Then I came upon this one. When I got them in the mail I was excited. They come in a pack of two which is really nice and for the price I figured it was reasonable. The paper is a nice feel that pen, pencil, gel pen, or whatever you use it will work great. There is more pages in these then some that are on the market. The lines are nicely spaced for writing. They are also the just right shade for the line to make it look very nice. There is also a pouch in the back to keep little notes. The band that holds it close tightly like it should. I originally bought these to use with keeping track of notes for my fibro dog days, but I used one as a personal journal and one for my bible study. Any thing you use these for they will be perfect for what you need.

I highly recommend these little journals by PeterPauliePress. I use them daily for short-form journaling (gratitude lists and short thoughts). They hold up beautifully to fountain pen ink with no bleed through. They are small enough that I can toss them in my pocket book and take them with me. I love the elastic band that keeps it from getting wrecked in my bag. The black and white design here is very pretty. I was super impressed with how nice they were when delivered. They have a bit of an embossed feeling which is cool. I purchased several of a few different prints in this journal style and each one is as pretty as the last I bought some to keep and some to give as gifts. For just a few bucks (under $6 USD) I am quite happy with the quality of the hard cover and the paper inside.

I wanted this little journal as soon as I saw it because it matches my purse and kindle cover. Nice price. I wouldn't actually use it as a journal as I write a lot when I make entries, so it would maybe only last me a month but I'm using it to track other things..exercise/food/health notes. It is small enough to fit in my purse..it's as big as my hand. The pages have a yellow tint, but no big deal. The lines are clear with plenty of room to write. I really like the black band that keeps it closed..I've never seen that feature but I love it. Overall it's very nice and I'd buy it again and recommend it.

I bought this to use as a prayer journal - something I want to pick up and use frequently but not necessarily daily. I like the size and the design. Feels sturdy too - the stitched binding seems like it will hold up over time. Not being one to journal regularly, I feared I might write in a few pages and then let it sit untouched, but I have actually been using it much more regularly than I expected. To a small extent, this may be due to the fact that it's attractive and that the size feels just right. When I see it on the table, I am inspired to pick it up. I felt is was very affordable and well worth the money.

I am a journal lover and a list maker. This little notebook is adorable. It has a textured hard cover and a band that keeps the notebook closed or can be used as a bookmark. The paper is heavy and thick - no bleeding even with gel pens or fountain pens. It's small but has plenty of space to jot things down. There is a pocket on the inside of the back cover that I didn't know existed until I started to look it over very carefully for this review. Nice little extra! I love it and want to get more of these

The book looks exactly as the picture shows. The design is a relief so the white part is raised and a little glossy, the black part is matte. It has a hard cover which i didn't expect. The journal is 7 inches high and 5 inches long. It fits easily in your school bag, purse, and/or The elastic to close the book is nice and tight but not too tight. The inside cover is black, Inside it says peter pauper journal and a little snippet about the company. The back cover has a black little pocket attached to it that faces the spine so nothing falls out. The paper isn't white its a slightly manilla folder cover color, not yellow though. There is not book marker ribbon. The lines in the book don't go all the way to the ends there is a border all the way around each page. I don't find the lack of book ribbon or the borders to be a problem for me at all. Will update when i get to see how the book wears over time. Overall I'm so excited about this purchase and for $3.99 it's a steal. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this exact journal again or any other journal from the company.

I love journals, and quite frankly this journal is the cutest thing I've come across for such a great price. It is a small, hardcover journal. I'd estimate that it's an A6 book. The cover is beautiful and is textured, and includes a band attached. On the inside of the back cover is a small pocket that can be easily missed. The paper is thick and heavy, and doesn't allow bleeding through. I'd definitely recommend this journal for enthusiasts and non-enthusiasts. I am definitely buying several more just like this.

I love these little books for keping notes at work. They are high quality and lightweight, and the perfect little size for recipes etc.
