PILOT"Capless (special alloy nib) / Silver" [nib : Medium]

Previously, I owned a slightly smaller vanishing point (Decimo) until my significant other decided to appropriate it. It was my most used pen at work because I'd often need to use it one handed while I made measurements and miscellaneous notes. So after a week of capping and uncapping, something had to give. However, I couldn't justify the $150 expense of the 18k gold nib. Buying the steel nib version was easier on the wallet, but I was slightly concerned that the writing experience wasn't going to be as good. When I first inked the pen, the results were much drier than I would have liked. I bought a medium and it almost wrote like a fine. Unless a fine nib flexed, I don't like it at all. But good new: after flushing the nib with water in a bulb syringe, the pen writes much better now. I'm getting a bit of feedback so it isn't glass smooth like my Decimo (sigh). But the writing experience is back where it should be. I would definitely buy it again.

Great quality beautiful pen. Crazy fast shipping—4 days before the estimated time frame (a range of several weeks was given for estimated delivery). The 4 stars is purely because of the design. The clip is ‘in the way’ and can make gripping the pen quite awkward if you have smaller hands like I do. I’m getting more used to it but not an easy transition.

Fantastic pen, I love it, it has a steel nib that's as smooth as a Pelikan nib and that's saying a lot. No dryness or hard starts 'till now. It’s great not having to screw and unscrew a cap. I should have bought it sooner.

This is a fountain pen that mimics a ballpoint. Click it and nib appears. Easy peasy.Maybe a little pricey, but its all first class. Youncan exchange works (nib,feed).Nice line. A chinese company ripped ofF design, but dont offer anything like Pilots fit and finishes.People complain clip bothers them, but it doesn't bother me.
