Helly Hansen Men's Crew Midlayer Fleece Lined Waterproof Windproof Breathable Rain Coat Jacket

The jacket looks great. I got the 597 Navy which almost looks black until it's beside something black and I'm then able to tell the difference. Ordering clothing is a hit or miss with sizing. Nothing ever seems consistent between brand labels. I ordered Large because I have a bit of a beer gut to contain and the jacket is TIGHT! If I didn't have a beer gut, Medium would be my size for sleeve lenth and appropriate size for my frame but as I have been choosing large for some time, I've had to deal with the extra long sleeves that go along with that size. Large is usually plenty big enough to fit me, but this jacket is made to fit someone that is thin all over with small shoulders and arms. It fits me like a medium normally would (right size for sleeve length and waist length but somewhat tight in the chest, shoulders and bicep area, and very tight in the mid-section. Keep that in mind when ordering your size. It's too much of a PITA to return so I guess I'll need to go on a diet.

I absolutely love this jacket! I live in San Francisco, and I wear this jacket everyday on long walks through chilly, windy, foggy Pacific Heights. It keeps the weather out and the warmth in. The fabric really "breathes" also, so I'm not too sweaty after exercising. Just a perfect jacket for our moderate Pacific Coast climate. I plan on buying another Helly Hansen Midlayer Jacket with a hood for rainy days, and sailing out on the bay. I generally wear a Men's size small to medium, so I selected a size medium and it fits perfectly. This brand features a more fitted cut (which I actually prefer). The jacket is nicely tailored near the shoulders, but here's plenty of torso room, without feeling too tight or restricted at my mid-section. For sizing reference, I'm 5'10", 155 lbs, 31" waist with an athletic build.

Wow! What an outstanding jacket. I've been looking for a jacket like this for months, but my purposes are not for boating\sailing, but rather to use as a windbreaker and light rain jacket for riding my motorcycle and this jacket has everything I was looking for. No hood, a more fitted style, long arm length, taped seams, comfortable lining, zippered inside pocket and outside pockets, adjustable waist hem on both sides and adjustable sleeve cuffs. I'm 6'2" tall, 205 lbs with an athletic build and the XL seems as if it were tailored just for me. I have rather long arms and it is nearly impossible for me to find a jacket that has the appropriate sleeve length without being too roomy and bulky everywhere else. This is an excellent quality jacket that I would recommend to anyone.

This jacket was exactly what I was looking for: a waterproof, fleece lined, windproof jacket for spring and fall. It also fits very well (I prefer a very slim fit instead of baggy), and the hand pockets are soft and fleece lined, which is great if you forget gloves on a chilly day. I like the fact that it has no hood because I rarely end up using the hood on jackets. This jacket can fit layers underneath like a hoodie or fleece, but not with much room to spare so order a size up if you usually layer up and still want room to move around for work or athletic reasons. I would say overall the quality it outstanding, the seals are great and waterproof, and it was worth every penny I paid. Do yourself a favor and buy this jacket!

Just spend 2 weeks in New England with it, from being very cold and windy till 60 and sunny.Wonderful jacket and does a great job keeping the wind out, and keeping you warm. If it gets really cold put on a HH base layer under it.If you are broad shouldered, and you wear a bunch of sweaters under it, it will be tight in the shoulders.Normally I buy shirt in 17 1/2 and 35/36 length and this jackets fits like a glove, the arms are long enough, actually the ones the 2xl have some extra length left. I always buy 2xl from HH as their measurements are pretty correct on the website. Plenty of pockets.The collar goes up high enough to keep the wind and cold out. If you place a scarf under it, it will be too tight. A neck gator would be a better choice if needed. Great jacket for a great price. They are going for 150 euro's overseas (Europe) so great price here on Amazon

Great jacket! Got it for my dad who I took the ASA 101,103, & 104 sailing courses with. Sailed in 20+ knot winds, rain or shine. Regardless it was wet, and this jacket kept him bone dry. He was raving about it. Sailed in temperatures from 75 deg. F to 50 deg. F and he was comfortable wearing it through them all. This jacket is truly waterproof! Highly recommend it.

Love this jacket. I have used HH outerwear since early 90's when I worked in Alaska so I am familiar with their quality. I get many compliments on this jacket. I got the navy. Looks great! it almost looks black but there is a difference between the 2 colors. They both look good, I just decided on blue. I have 2 other HH jackets. I have broad shoulders so I went with an XL (I usually get Large in Clothing). Fits perfectly for me. Super sharp jacket!

I've been looking for some new wet weather golf attire since I outgrew (laterally) my awesome Zero Restriction jacket (which will probably still be waiting for me when I lose some weight). I've been playing in Seattle so I wanted a jacket that was slightly insulated, in addition to a couple other jackets that I have. This is a terrific jacket, no question about that, but if you are looking for something with a "working" fit, and the reason you are ordering XL is that you are average height with a large tummy, you should order XXL. The XL I got was considerably tighter around the midriff than, say, typical Carhartt fit (which is noticeably loose). By way of comparison, I have a Marmot XXL rain shell that is at least 7 inches larger around the belly. The only other issues I have with it is that there is not a snap/Velcro flap on the outside, and the zipper is more lightweight than I prefer. However, it looks great, feels nice, and it's warm ....

This is a light weight but warm jacket, exactly what I was looking for. The problem for me was the pockets, there was an external breast pocket on the left hand side of the jacket and an internal breast pocket ALSO on the left hand side with nothing on the right hand side. I normally carry a mobile phone and a wallet. The layout of the breast pockets meant that both items had to be carried on the left hand side of the jacket causing it to bulge badly. Additionally the hand pockets were quite small.

Both functional and stylish.Having owned many Helly Hansen items since the late 90's (a HH fleece I owned lasted 13 winters), the crew mid-layer jacket possess the same quality that I've come to expect from a manufacturer that produces items fit to handle the elements.Since the UK winter of 2017/18 has probably been the harshest in recent memory, the jacket has routinely kept me warm throughout, most notably while trudging to work through the snow as the Beast from the East made paid a visit, courtesy of the polartec inner fleece lining. Even with a wind chill of -10C (remember that Thursday?), nothing got through, thus, ensuring that my upper torso remained warm and toasty during the 6 mile round-trip between home and work.On those occasions that winter weather hasn't been so inclement, due to the heavy duty fleece lining, simply wearing a t-shirt beneath the jacket has ensured sufficient warmth, even becoming a little too warm when frequenting shopping centres.Since the jacket is included within HH's sailing line, designed to withstand heavy and frequent ocean spray, even torrential rain isn't an issue, as it has remained water-proof. Simply give the arms and torso a good shake and rain water simply disappears from the outer water repellent material.The intricate detailing and overall design is also truly superb. From crisp HH logos on the upper arms, left rear shoulder and sleeve, to the heavy duty zips that secure the deep, fleece-lined pockets, the jacket simply embodies the stylish, yet functional quality, that I've grown to expect of HH.Since I expect value for money, I very rarely purchase 'fashion' items. However, since I've found Helly Hansen apparel to routinely provide a perfect blend between style and function, if an item catches my eye, I'll happily part with my hard earned cash.

Perfect fit. For me buying great fit jacket is difficult as S can be too long and XS too tight but this is great.1- It is fleece lined inside the sleeve but particularly as its a sailing jacket and top of the arm has patches of waterproof material2- tiny zip inside inner fleece is for embroidery. i.e if you are in a sailing team you may want to imbroid your team logo at the back3- the plastic square at the back of your neck is for sailing cards4- Im 170cm height with 36-37 inches chest size and 30 inch waist, size XS fits perfect.5- I went for navy color and there is no hood (some colours might have hood but you will see the hood in the pictures)6- If you wear a termal undershirt and a thin fleece it should keep you warm and toasty7- sleeve slightly long but not to put one off buying8- One inner pocket inside left side of chest9- You can adjust waist via stringsOverall Great

Qui nel Nord Italia, la vedo eccessiva per i primi freddi autunnali ma nemmeno un capo adeguato alle fredde giornate di gennaio e febbraio. Perfetta, secondo me, a temperature che stiano fra i cinque e i dieci gradi. Al Sud buona per tutta la stagione invernale.Si presenta con le due classiche tasche laterali più una tasca esterna sul lato sinistro del petto (molto comoda per il cellulare) e una interna sempre sul lato sinistro del petto ma molto piccola. Utilizzo molto il brand hally Hansen, anche per utilizzo professionale in mare.Questo è un giubbotto semplice, relativamente poco costoso e di qualità come tutti i prodotti del marchio. Sottile e leggero, ottimo per uscite outdoor, sotto i 10 gradi consiglio vivamente uno strato in più in quanto e piuttosto leggero, ottima la protezione da acqua e vento, belle le chiusure sui polsi anche se potrebbero essere di qualità leggermente superiore. Tasca interna piuttosto piccola ma ottima per un cellulare di nuova generazione, dotata Di cerniera.Il colore e leggermente più scuro rispetto la foto, acquistato blue navy ma e molto tendente al nero, sono alto 1.85 per 80 kg e la misura L e perfetta

Mido 1,77 m y peso 85, y me queda bien de largo. Si acaso la mangas un poco largas lo que me obliga apretar los puños con los velcros.La cazadora está bien porque es muy ligerita y consigo protegerme de la lluvia y estar algo abrigado.De todas formas, al precio de catálogo, no se si me la compraría.Esperemos que el velcro con el que se aprietan las mangas sean duraderos.Tampoco me gusta mucho el plastico que lleva en la espalda se supone que para poner una etiqueta de tu tripulación.

I had an XL coat and it fits exactly as expected (I am just over 6 feet tall and around 95 kilos) Only debatable point is that the sleeves are a little long, but this can be alleviated by tightening the velcro around the cuffs. There is a handy inner pocket just inside the zip which easily and safely holds my Samsung Galaxy S9. There is also another zip inside the jacket at the rear which when opened, just reveals the space between the outer layer and the lining. Quite what the point of this zip is remains a mystery to me.Overall, I love the jacket and I think with a brand like HH, you can't go wrong.

I'm quite happy with the item, I would definitely recommend ordering a size higher.The jacket is not completely fleece lined however 80% is, having worn this jacket I wouldn't say that it kept me warm in weather in between 0-2 degrees as I had 1-2 extra layers on. The downside of it is that there is hoody to keep the rain away but I guess this compensates for the looks.The body fits me perfectly however the arms are a tad bit longer than I expected however the cuffs which you can tighten helps with that.The pictures in the preview page indicated to me that the logos were white and not grey, which i am quite unhappy about as i really wanted the name branding and the logo to really sparkle and reflect in a way that can be seen.Overall i'm a happy customer as its my first Helly Hansen item i purchased.

I bought this jacket after searching on Amazon for ages I found this Helly Hansen jacket. I have an odd shape being 1m 83 and very slim. So wanted something smart and not too bigfor my shape. Item arrived a day late but that is fine.I was pleasantly surprised. Really light weight, smart and well made item. Not too keen withthe name on the collar but not a disaster. Have n't been out in the rain no rain yet..I have a friend who lives in Plymouth and has a sailing boat after talking to him he said the HHbrand is really good quality but pricey, all top sailing nerds wear HH. I was sold!!So glad I followed his lead. Very happy customer.. If you ain't sure always ask a buddy...

Una chaqueta cálida y cómoda por su tejido y confección, muy versátil ya que la puedes emplear para vestir casual sport o para practicar cualquier deporte o actividad al aire libre.1.74 cm. 80 kg. complexión fuerte, mi talla es la M. Queda genial, ligeramente ajustada pero para nada incómoda, la L me quedaría larga de mangas y demasiado holgada para mi gusto. En la web de Helly Hansen hay un apartado (Fit Finder) que te ayuda a elegir la talla según gusto del consumidor, bastante útil.En definitiva, una grandísima chaqueta que con la oferta de Amazon la hace más atractiva.

Really nice and wearable jacket, bringing what it promises: waterproof, light and breathable enough to pace up to the 12th without zipping it open.Only the sizing is interesting: I bought first a Medium one (my chest is about/exactly 100 cm / 40 inches and that is my widest point under my shoulders) and it is somewhat tight; would be OK with only a T shirt underneath which may be good for summertime. For winter and for work where I like to have long sleeve shirt and in case some cardigan, I had to buy an L size jacket which is still a good size for me...Pockets could be a bit larger.

Sobre la talla: Mido 1.80/92kg, suelo usar L o XL, en este caso la L me queda bien, entallada si llevo los hombros adelante noto tirantez, por delante me llega hasta el hueso pélvico y por atrás me cubre un poquito el culete (delantes es más corta de detrás), las mangas me quedan un poquito largas, muy poco, nada que no pueda ajustarse con el velcro de las muñecas.Color: Tomé el rojo, obviamente no es tan rojo como en la foto, supongo que con el azul pasará lo mismo...Detalles técnicos: Pesa 600 gramos aprox y se puede compactar bastante bien, la he enrollado y ocupa más o menos el espacio de 2 tetrabrick de 1 litro cada uno (para que os hagáis una idea). Es súper impermeable, habrá que ver cómo transpira. Tiene 4 bolsillos, los externos y uno interno en el pecho del tamaño de un móvil grande, el de fuera del pecho es más grandecito, 3/4 de DIN A-4. La chaqueta es rollo un chubasquero elegante con zonas de polar, yo no la usaría para la nieve, en cambio para ir en moto con algo debajo durante máximo 1 hora, podría usarla. Yo la quiero porque dentro de poco hago un viaje de 3 semanas y quiero algo súper práctico. En la espalda tiene un trozo de plástico con velcro que le puedes poner lo que quieras, un dibujo, una tarjeta...Ya han hablado sobre el forro, pero tiene dos tiras por delante y por detrás en las mangas que cubren el 40% del brazo, también en el cuello y desde mitad de pecho/espalda hasta abajo.La pedí un doming a medio día y llegó el día siguiente a las 11, tomé esa talla y color porque era lo mas barato y solo puedo decir cosas buenas sobre la chaqueta, la verdad. Creo que es muy buena compra.

Es lo que me esperaba de verdad que genial queda muy bien puesta y sobre de la talla coger una talla menos de lo que uno usa yo necesito la L y con la M me queda genial es muy bonita y cómoda

Great jacket. Looks nice, wears nice.Very warm; don't think you're going to wear this when it's above much above 10 degrees C - more like 5-8 degrees and you can still wear this and a t-shirt. So warm you'll probably want to take it off at the supermarket if you're going to spend any extended time there.I wouldn't hesitate to wear this to a (business) casual function or a golf course, etc.At around 60 quid it's an absolute steal (sports stores sell it for ~120 around here).
