Siemens MC0816B1400RLTM Low Voltage Lever Bypass Meter-Load Center Combination with Feed Thru Lugs and Ringless Cover | 400 Amps, 8 Space, 16-Circuit

I used this panel to upgrade from a single phase 200 amp service to a single phase 320 amp service. The panel arrived within two days as promised and it was not damaged in any way. The box itself is exactly as described with a lever bypass and can hold two separate 200 amp breakers as well as a few other smaller breakers, although those will be included under the main 200 amp breaker that it comes with, along with the feed thru lugs. It already has bolt in lugs attached on the utility side of the meter, so no need in buying any as those accept up to 500 mcm and maybe 600 mcm judging by the size. There is plenty of room to work the conductors into position and the entire panel is built well. It’s quite heavy at 71 lbs though so be sure and line up some help when you install it. All in all this is a great panel to use for an upgrade or install for new construction.

My electrician was impressed that I got something of this quality at such a good price. even my power company couldn't get me one this quick. I will see if they will reimburse me since they didn't have any meter bases. LOL

This is a great panel for servicing multiple buildings from one meter. as its configured you can feed up to 2 separate buildings (panels) and still have loads at the meter! Its made for large homes but i think its great for a home with an detached shop or barn. Its well made and has plenty of room for connections. Supplier did a very poor job packing for shipping and my panel arrived damaged BUT i did not bother to return it as it is heavy and the damage was cosmetic.

I have no idea if this is a good item as I received a dining room table not the Siemens electrical box I ordered.

Nice, Quality panel that works perfect for my application. I have this panel mounted on a panel board mounted on posts near one of the buildings. I purchased this breaker https://www.amazon.com/Siemens-QN2200R-200-Amp-240-Volt-Circuit/dp/B0052MDA0I/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_sims?ie=UTF8 to mount in the top lug feed and that feeds my shop panel. The 8 internal breaker slots are used to run any external outlets and yard lights, etc. so that I don't have to get power from the house or shop. The bypass lugs off the bottom of the internal slots are used to feed the house panel.

I have purchased 3 of these to date and I will or would purchase again... for what it is this is a very versatile panel. Great design and very easy to use. I have installed it on my own house along with others. Grainger and Graybar both wanted well over 2k for it. Ripoff. However I did receive one panel with internal parts that weren't installed( from the factory) I had to order a replacement. The other issue is if you have a delivery person or persons(heavy panel) the packaging from Siemens is terrible... no padding no foam no nothing. Steel panel wrapped in a thin layer of cardboard. All of the panels I have purchased came scratched up dented or twisted. All dents or twists were able to be tweeked back into acceptable condition but one had scratches so bad it would have all been rusted beyond belief in no time. I would suggest amazon or whichever vendor it comes from double box and pad this item to avoid headaches... save everyone money and time. Otherwise I love the panel itself.

I have used two of these panels in City limits under The Southern Company and have had no problems with AHJ. The panel has more than your normal disconnects that is beneficial so as not to have to add subpanels for large disconnects such as RV and large Heating units. 5 stars for a reason. Get them while they last

Box came as described. VERY high quality and heavy! Just installed and hooked up and can't be any happier! I love the fact that is has the 8 spaces for extra breakers as well so power isn't drawing off either 200 amp panel. Very nice and much better price than buying a less quality box from my local hardware store. I try to buy local as much as I can but I couldn't pass up this deal.
