Genaray LED-7100T 312 LED Variable-Color On-Camera Light

I'm using this light for oil painting and very pleased with the variable brightness and the color temp adjustability. I bought a clamp (Impact Super Clamp T) and a Manfrotto 237HD Heavy-Duty Flex Arm for Super.... When put together, it attaches to my easel. No more trouble seeing color variation. I can work in dim light. It is easily portable and the battery life is good--works for several hours. Replacement batteries are about $10 each, so I've invested in an extra set. Great for artists!

This is VERY Bright. Fully dimmable and white balance adjustable. Covers what I need it to do. Down sides is it's heavy and the mount takes a min to adjust and tighten straight. Oh and dimming/brightness comes in steps if that matters. The adjustment knob is fluid but the LEDs change in steps.

I purchased this light in 2019 and for the most part it served me well. I never liked how short the adapter cord was but I always made do. Today I was using it for a shoot and after being plugged in and on for about an hour it started blinking erratically. At one point an entire half of it was not lit. I tried to let it cool down but that has not fixed the problem. It did serve me well for a few years but I am disappointed that it failed me today. I wouldn't recommend this light because I expected it to last longer than it did, especially considering the price. I am hoping that customer service can do something for me and possibly replace it.

Camera gear is expensive. There isn't any way around this. You get what you pay for. Don't settle for cheaper stuff when in the end you will have poorer quality video. Just get it and be happy that it does what you need.

Used these for still photography. It was a day long job shooting junior gymnasts. Good light power, batteries lasted longer than expected. I got decent range out of them as well (bought 2), more than I had expected. Loss of one star because I wanted to use as a cold shoe, but there doesn't appear to be a way to lock it on. It was too top heavy and I was worried it would fall off, so I ended up having to prop it up at an angle on the floor. However, one of these alone gave me nearly 2 full stops, so it was worth it.

This light delivers professional quality light and packs a lot of light into a small package. I was a little concerned about the slightly wobbly connection to the camera base, but I have used this light multiple times and it's never a problem. Now I'm used to it and it doesn't cause me concern anymore. My DP on my first short film really loved this light.

Muy nephew got one from long time ago and it has lasted from so long. Now I got mine and let's see if this one could last for more than 5 years.

The light gets 5 stars, but the ball mount only gets 3 stars. As for the light, it puts out a nice amount of illumination... and the color temp option is great. We use these as our on-camera lights in a professional setting, so I opted to purchase one for my own personal video use as well. A really nice light.
