Works Great, and Easier Than Expected
This was the best value for a Smart Life compatible IR blaster that would work with Alexa/Echo and Google Home. I had read reviews of people who said similiar Tuya devices were hard to program or didn't work at all, but I had no problem with this one.Once Smart Life is installed on your phone, use the included push pin to reset the IR blaster, and pair it with your phone. Then setup your devices to control in the Smart Life app, and finally hit the Alexa button in Smart Life to share the devices with Alexa. Then in the Alexa app, add/discover the new devices, and you're all set for voice control.

Tuya app is a bit slow
I have a Smart Life by Tuya app and the Tuya app, I bought this because it gave the impression that I could use the Smart Life app but it wasn't mentioned in the leaflet. I found the Tuya app to be a bit slow to start on my phone as opposed to the Smart Life app. I suppose I should have tried to see if it would see it in the Smart Life but didn't. Integration with Alexa is quite good.Apart from that it works and controls the tv, set top box, air conditioning, and a fan in the room where it is located. So far it's mainly used to turn on and off the devices. It's small in size and quite discreet - it's actually on top of the Alexa dot 2nd generation and it's smaller in diameter.

Solid IR Blaster
I have a roommate that always forgets to turn off the tv, so it runs all night. I hate wasting energy so I looked at getting one of these IR blasters in the past, however I was not thrilled about paying over $15 to do what this does. But I was happy to find this item because its is low priced and supports the protocols I use. Almost all my smart home devices run on the Smart Life app so that is something I prefer, and IFTTT is also a must because it is the main way I use home automation (mainly through Tasker and EventGhost)I have had this item for about a week and so far the performance has been good. Under normal circumstances it will pretty much always send the desired command with not much lag. Sending multiple commands in succession does not always succeed though (like pushing the sleep button multiple times within a short window), but most of them will usually go through.I placed the device on the table a few inches in front of the tv screen and the commands go through without a problem. The item appears to but multi-directional in how it sends out the IR signals, so the device does not have to be pointed at anything in particular. I never really had any connection issues with this so it seems pretty dependable to me. Even when the internet bandwidth is maxed out the commands will still go through, only with a little bit of lag. All in all a good purchase, would buy again.ps - You do not have to install their branded version of the Smart Life app, the normal one works with the same features.

It works with Alexa
Not a bad little device I have no problem setting up fairly easy all you have to do is use the reset key to get it blinking fast. Packaging looked very cheap and product is very light weight but it works and gets the job done little overpriced in my opinion

Tough to setup
I have gotten 2 of these, getting them setup in Smart Life is not easy. The steps seem easy, but each time I have to go through 5-7 iterations before it works. Once you get past that, it's awesome. Goes into Alexa or Google home nicely with the smart life skill though. There might be something the device can't do through Alexa or google, but the tap to run feature of Smart Life makes scenes in Alexa or Google an easy enough work around.

How to set up Alexa/Google to do more than just power
Just wanted to help someone looking at how to do it since it took me a while to figure this out. Get the Smart Life app, and register the device, and setup your devices. In the menus there is an option to learn custom IR commands if you need that. You can use the actual remote of your equipment and point it at this IR hub and press the required button to learn it as a new command. I had to do that with my Quietside AC. After that, you need to create an automation in the same smartlife app with the trigger being "click to launch" and the Action being whatever button(s) you want pressed. Name the automation. Now create an ifttt account, and link your smart life and your Alexa accounts. Then go to ifttt.com/createyou'd need to type that in because their homepage doesn't seem to link it. Then create the IF trigger as a phrase you'd say to Alexa. Like "Alexa trigger heating" and the action as the smart life automation you created earlier. Once you do the first one, adding a few others take negligible time. And totally worth it. You can also use Google Assistant instead and the process is identical, except link Google account and set Google trigger phrase instead. Hope that was helpful.
