Great speaker and great experience...
Great option to add existing Sonos speakers that are not AirPlay compatible to AirPlay2 group. Nice packaging, great aesthetics, outstanding sound, and a great customer experience from the seller.

Good Sound For the Money
The Ikea Symfonisk is a Sonos speaker w/o Alexa built in so primarily a wifi/Bluetooth speaker. I was able to play music through it from my Google Echo but not simultaneously with the Echo connected to other devices. Maybe I am doing something wrong but have not figured out how to do it and I am an engineer so beware. It is far less useful to me because I can not stream music simultaneously to other powered speakers speakers connected to the AUX output of the Echo. The sound is bassy with less than an ideal high frequency presence but still a pleasant sound if you tolerate music played with a heavier bass influence. The bass from the small speaker is impressive for how low it goes and impact relative to its size but it won't be mistaken for a high quality larger speaker either other than it does impress for its size. Seems you can put it directly against the wall with no change in response so not sure how it is ported but you can wall mount this with no problem and they have special mounts for it. I think in retrospect I should have ordered a Sonos One and got full Echo capability from it.

Beautiful speaker with big sound
This review is for the Ikea SYMFONISK speaker and not for the seller(s) here who are charging higher than its actual retail price. The speaker sells for $99 and is exclusive to Ikea. This is my first foray into Sonos speakers and I'm pleased to say that it is outstanding. I purchased one of these speakers to go onto a bookshelf and serve as the default music speaker for a Google Home Mini. The speaker paired perfectly with the Google Home after connecting the Sonos app, and it automatically directs all music there seamlessly. The design is truly a cut above any other smart speaker, taking cues from the simple, modernist aesthetic that Ikea has made so popular. This speaker blends perfectly into my bookshelf and is hardly noticed until it is used. I like the fact that it can be placed vertically or horizontally. What truly makes it special is its wonderfully balanced sound. I'm able to hear so many nuances of music through this speaker that were completely missing from my Google Home device. With the Sonos "Loudness" button engaged in app, the highs and lows are gently enhanced for a sound that really outpaces the size of the speaker. While volume can get to a high level, there does seem to be some audible compression which decreases the dynamics once volume is turned past about 50 percent. However, I would imagine most buyers would not view this as a "party" speaker given its aesthetic.
