FIBARO Wall Plug/Z-Wave Plus Wireless Smart Socket, Type G, FGWPG-111, White

I have used these to add a more reliable layer to an old X-10 system running on Indigo. They worked well, even in a house with thick internal granite walls.

Good looking, well built, easy to adopt to Z-wave network. Eventually returned as it was in surplus to my needs but would have kept otherwise.

Brilliantly reliable and responsive, with a zWave extender built in.I like how you can IFTTT controls on the consumption,This allows, for example... To trigger other devices when power usage detected (at various wattage)For me this works as a notification and alarm of my sump pump starting up.

I had a rollercoaster of an order probably for the first time.Ordered 2 of these (along with 2 other Fibaro products), and the courier lost themThe replacement order arrived however both were somewhat damaged in terms of the Fibaro boxes the plugs were in.And both were faulty on arrival with a blue flashing light.I managed to get one working by performing multiple resets on the plug and eventually it went into pairing mode but the other one refused so this went back.So now onto the plugs - It's the first 3 pin UK plug from Fibaro and its great (when it works).In comparison to Aeotec, I think this is slightly more bulkier but the good thing is the switch is accessible unlike the Aeotec which is hidden under plug plugged into it.Once in inclusion mode, I had no issues adding to the z-wave network. The first couple of times of switching on/off via the portal there was a delay but after this, it has worked every single time.Monitoring works fine too in regards to KW but i've had fairly low powered devices connected to it.all in all, if it was not for the lost items and then faulty item, it would not have left such a sour taste and I would be more excited about it.

As with the other Fibaro z-wave products, these are very configurable (frequency of energy reporting etc), the LED ring also seems to make them look less messy sticking out of the plug socket and turns them into a feature.

This item would not connect properly to my system and therefore I sent it back. Refunded quickly.

Not sure why the low rating on this item. Works perfectly fine as intended. You need a compatible Z-Wave Hub to use this plug. It has power meter reporting capabilities and an LED ring which you can disable if needed.

Haven’t been a fan of Fibaro for other devices, but these plugs work fine and are easy to setup.
