Astrology Made Simple: A Beginner's Guide to Interpreting Your Birth Chart and Revealing Your Horoscope

It's an introduction
I consider myself a beginner to astrology. I've held an interest for years but have never ventured past the free natal chart interpretation found online. I thought this book would be more in depth and give me greater understanding, but it doesn't even give much explanation for the topics explored. I found myself needing to google a lot of topics for information. This is a good book if you have no idea but the information offered can be easily found for free online.

Astrology Made Simple has quenched my thirst for answers!
FASCINATING! I have always been fascinated by astrology. As a teenager, I remember having Mom read my daily horoscope from the newspaper and being captivated by every word! A fun, fast read.
Astrology is the connection between the alignment of the planets at birth which continue to be relevant with the way the planets are aligned on a daily basis. While there is no scientific evidence that this is true, some people swear by astrology and feel like the planet alignment and their horoscope help guide them. That being said, this book is, at the very least, entertaining and interesting to read. Whether or not you believe in it, it goes into some depth about what it means to have different planets aligning and “lunar placement”.Part One discusses the parts and mechanics of your birth chart and Part Two discusses your chart in action and how to interpret these readings. There are many definitions given and explained such as what does it mean when your sign is in “retrograde” or what is your “ruling planet”? And how do these things connect to your life, what does it mean for your family, love, health, and life? It's not a heavy read...you can pick it up, read a short section and come back to it at a later time. Or you can read it all in a day or two. It's a fun read at the very least and gives you some background as to what astrology really means.*I received a sample of this item in return for an honest and unbiased review*

An easy step by step guide to understanding all the information your birth chart offers you!
I never truly understood all the ideas behind astrology. It always seemed like psychic nonsense. But it is an area that has always intrigued me. It is a study that has been around longer than most sciences and I knew there had to be a reason why. In this book Astrology made simple, the Author Alyson Mead takes you on a journey through understanding your Birth Chart. She explains how you go about getting your birth chart and then a comprehensive step by step guide to understanding what exactly you are looking at. I don't think I ever realized how much information went into making a birth chart and how much information you get out of it. Most people think of it as your daily horoscope in the newspaper, but it goes way beyond that.Bottom line this is a well written, easy to understand book on a subject that is not so easy to understand. The author builds your knowledge step by step constantly building upon the last topic she taught you.I am glad that I received this book free in order to share my opinion with you.

Self-knowledge is a beautiful, powerful, tool - this book gives that plus so much more!
Alyson Mead takes on a subject that can be exceedingly complex and daunting and gives it depth, and warmth, and wonderful readability. Astrology Made Simple empowered me to create, and make sense of, my birth chart - promoting a level of self-knowledge that is comforting, useful, and necessary for good decision making. All of the shorthand insider terms that made other astrology books feel like I was reading them in a foreign language are gently and thoroughly explained in a way that makes them interesting and easy to understand. Astrology Made Simple took me on a journey through each layer of my birth chart, and with each layer revelations were gained that gave fresh insight and powerful self-knowledge. With this book you will be able to gather pieces to a puzzle that when assembled create a transcendent looking glass that you can peer into for reflection, for answers, and for insight. Astrology Made Simple guides you through creating a self-portrait (your birth chart) and then mentors you through learning how the gestalt of your astrological influences can be translated to improving your decisions, your relationships, and your feelings about yourself. I received Astrology Made Simple for free in exchange for an unbiased review: I love that this book offers an easily readable guide to gaining self-knowledge in the context of understanding the multitude of influences of our birth chart.

Better to buy a paper book for this title
No problem with the content of the book. I was able to understand a good amount of things that are written. Being from India, we have an elaborate astrology system and it would be interesting to compare the content of this book with the Indian system. However its better to read a paper book, because one needs to refer to the charts and Kindle cannot handle shifting between pages.
