I purchased this pen after a family member had given me a sample she had. As a writer, I was immediately struck by how fluid the ink is and how beautifully it writes. Green is an unusual ink color that stands out on a page. It's also a festive color during the Christmas holidays as you address cards. I especially love the bolder (versus finer) tip of this pen. Because of the bold ink, you do have to be careful at times on your writing surface because if your paper is too light, the bold ink may bleed through. Several people who have used the pen have remarked how fluid and beautifully it writes. Including this pen with a journal would be a wonderful gift for a writer or journaler in your life.

I probably have 30 of these, plus several refills!Coming from an RN who is picky on her pens, these will quickly be your faves too! I get so many compliments and sometimes my pens try to "walk off" mysteriously....

The Pilot V7 is my favorite pen for letter writing and note taking. When I saw the V10 model, I ordered it right away. Just like the V7, the V10 flows smoothly over paper and is a joy to use. The colors are vivid and beautiful. Of course, these are a bit more bold but only a bit. (You'll see more contrast with the V5 line.) These are excellent for larger-font writing, eye-catching notes, quick graphing, grading papers, etc.You can still use the V10 for ordinary writing so long as your font size is not too small. Using smaller fonts, tight cursive, etc. could cause your lines to bleed together and become obscured. The V7 offers the best balance of smooth writing for small-medium text or drawing. For very small text or very fine detail drawing, use the V5.Note: There are three considerations to keep in mind with these pens as they use liquid ink. First, it can take a second for the ink to fully absorb and dry on paper. It dries faster than fountain pens I've used but still, be mindful of smudging for the first second or so after writing. Second, be careful of carrying these in your pocket. If the button is even slightly depressed, the ink can bleed out slowly. Third, I do not recommend storing these long term with the tip down, such as in a cup with other pens. For best results, store them on their side (horizontally). With these things in mind, you can get a wonderful writing experience with these pens.

If you dislike the typical "fine" or so-called "medium" point pens that make lines that are often so thin that your writing is barely visible, then these V10 pens are for you. No one will have any difficulty seeing what you have written with these pens, because the lines are bold.

These pens are nearly perfect. Smooth, bold writing on soft surfaces like a notebook and hard surfaces like a sheet of paper on a desk. The sharpie s-gel 1mm however, is more scratchy and less bold on hard surface writing. They also have more drag overall which some may prefer. The only negative with the V10 is they burn ink quicker than any pen I've used. I take lots of notes and one of these will last me only two weeks or less than a 70 sheet notebook before running dry.

Very surprised at how the ink appears in paper. Is not a smooth write as I have had in the past

As someone who writes everyday for work, I cannot think of a better quality pen that is the right weight, size, and thickness. My 15 year old son tried one of these when he was doing his homework and loved the feel of the pen. Both of us now use it daily. If you haven't tried these pens yet, I highly recommend you do!

These are the best pens ever! I’m mostly writing on Manila folders and deal jackets at a dealership and they work amazing for that thicker type surface. I’m also a lefty and used to ink being on the side of my pinky. That doesn’t happen at all with these pens!!! I guard them with my life so they don’t wander off.
