Review: Very sloppy manufacturing. - The top of the thermometer has a tail of glass going off to one side that prevents it from fitting inside the thermometer armor case purchased for this. I worked in a lab for 40 years and never encountered this sort of thing in all that time. The tops of thermometers are always smooth and rounded. The first thermometer I ordered arrived broken as it was shipped in a padded envelope instead of a rigid box and that too had this glass tail. The blue spirit is so pale that it is very difficult to read the thermometer. Review: Five Stars - it is what i was looking for
