Great product
I have been on a many year quest to find orginic, biodegradable, effective shampoo that does not dry out my scalp. I have used a different shampoo each time over many years and continue to try new sample brands. I have found only two shampoos as my main go to.... Aveno and Avalon Organics. Both are effective shampoos with decent scents for a man. Leaves my hair soft, clean, smelling great. I also have fine hair so strengthening and thickness boosts are nice, but in all honesty over all brands I have ever used those features are barely noticable to non-existent. The price for Avalon is a good value, as is Aveno. Both dry my scalp the least of any I have ever tried, but Aveno is slightly better. So, great product, will continue to buy it.

Worst conditioner
Strong plastic smell and caused an allergic reaction. I already have a skin condition that causes a sensitive scalp with dry, red patches prone to itchiness and flaking; tea tree oil products help manage and reduce these symptoms significantly, so I use tea tree oil shampoo and conditioner to manage the condition. Other products have been successful; this product did the complete opposite. My scalp became itchier, patches were raised and inflamed, if the product touched my forehead, you can see redness and skin was incredibly itchy; my scalp became oilier and there was more buildup than normal on the red patches. Even if you don’t have sensitive skin, this product smelled HORRIBLE - very very strong plastic odor, did not feel like a smooth conditioner, rather the opposite, felt squeaky and stripped my hair rather than moisturize it. I have fine but curly hair, and my curls looked frizzy and dry despite the amount of conditioner used. Compared to other conditioners, it felt thin and lacked that moisturizing feel. Would not recommend to anyone regardless of skin sensitivities or hair type.

thick buy oily
To begin, I would like to note that I definitely like the shampoo much more than the conditioner. I have now been using the combination of Biotin B shampoo and conditioner for about 2 months now. I would also like to explain a little bit about my hair - I have medium shoulder length, straight hair. I have very oily skin, which then gets my hair oily by the end of the day. My scalp also gets very itchy, something I have attributed to an allergy in the "chemical" shampoos (I formerly used Artec by Loreal professional, Joico, and Matrix). I also swim in a chlorinated pool on a fairly regular basis. Pros: organic - need I say more? gentle - I takes away my itch, and I have not had any other problems with dandruff or anything. The first ingredient listed is Aloe. So/So: smell - not super yummy, but not intolerable either Cons: Tangles!!! No matter how much I use, the conditioner does not detangle my hair. I let my hair dry, almost completely before I comb it (sometimes that's hard) Oil fields. For some reason, this conditioner really makes my hair oily. Before I even get out of the shower, my hair is so gluey, oily, and just not even nice. I let it just dry that way, to see if it's only appearing oily while it's wet; nope. It weighed down my hair, and it just wasn't as flowy and light. To help, (I really wanted to give the combination a good go) I began not completely rinsing the shampoo out of my hair prior to adding the conditioner. I would then completely rinse the shampoo and conditioner simultaneously. This did alleviate a good chunk of the oil, but my hair still felt weighed down. Quantity to condition. In order to get the conditioner to completely get to all of my hair, I had to use a ton! It is really thick, and hard to spread throughout my hair. I ended up running out of conditioner at the time that my shampoo was half empty. As far as "thickening" goes, I have noticed with using the combination of shampoo + conditioner, that my hair is not necessarily thicker, however, I have noticed that as I wash/condition my hair, less hair falls out during the showering process. I used to have so much hair in the drain after a shower that my boyfriend used to joke, "how are you not bald by now?!?", but now I only loose maybe 7 or so hairs in the shower. A MAJOR decrease. With less hair falling out, I would certainly say that my hair is able to "thicken", not on an individual strand level, but overall my head of hair is thicker. Would I purchase again - yes/no. I would purchase the shampoo again (I overall liked the way it cleaned, and made my scalp feel), but I would probably not purchase the conditioner again. I suppose I will continue on the hunt for the perfect shampoo/conditioner combo.

Nice scent that bugs don't like
Nice scent, and bugs don't like it... that's a bonus. I was golfing with some buddies and they had gnats flying all around their heads, but I didn't. Unfortunately, the bottle was only half full the last time I ordered it. I've been using this for years and that's never happened before so I'm still going to order again.

I've tried so many organic hair products and Avalon is the only one that doesn't trigger any allergies for me. My hair is so soft and shiny using their products. I don't go to get my hair cut often, but every time the hairdresser asks how my hair is so healthy and it's from using these products. The lavendar scent is really nice and natural. It doesn't lather a lot, but it does get your hair very clean.

I'm allergic to SLS in shampoo and had a very bad reaction from a previous shampoo. This Avalon Tea tree scalp treatment shampoo is SLS free and helped my scalp recover and I've been using it regularly. My hair always feels "squeaky" clean afterwards.
