Review: I shopped around quite a bit looking for a "light box" as I was tired of drawing free-hand before painting. I'm very old-school, don't use gadgets for my artwork, just my hands, pen, pencil paint and brushes. I really just want to paint these days, not into drawing right now, and free-hand drawing is tedious and stressful at times which discourages me from painting at all. I looked at some light boxes at local stores and they were either too small, too boxy and/or priced too high. I have never used a light box so have nothing to compare it to, but this thing has met my needs and expectations! Its a nice and big lighted surface, super slim, the light is really bright. It will shine through 140 lb. watercolor paper which makes it super easy for me to draw my basic outlines before painting. I am cranking out the paintings sometimes at a rate of one completed painting per day! This thing has been a total game changer for my artwork, and well worth the price. When I wear this one out, I won't hesitate to buy another. LOVE IT! Review: I bought this to use for making fabric applique pieces in quilt projects. I looked a long time for something large enough for my needs and for a reasonable price. Finally I came across this one, loved the reviews it had, and decided to make the purchase. I am very glad I did. It's easy to use, a beautiful light table with excellent light. It has a large surface, so any size piece you need to work with (or lots of smaller pieces) are accommodated on its surface. My only problem was it was supposed to come with a protective bag for storage, and it did not. So I made one, and now all is well. Hardly a thing to worry about. If you need a light table, you ought to get this one-or you can pay six prices for one that may or may not be as high quality. I'd buy this one again in a heartbeat.

This is a very good board. It is a nice size. You can still fit it in your lap if need be, though putting it on a table is more stable. The light is even across the whole board. The light is dimable, however I needed to read the instructions to figure out how (Press and Hold the power button to adjust brightness). The range of brightness is good too. The brightest is enough to shine through thick paper, or you can set it on low when working on thin stuff. One downside is that the on/off button is very sensitive. It is easy to accidentally turn the board off by brushing it with your hand or a ruler, etc. So it is best to rotate the board such that the button is far from where your hands need to be. Update: Lately, it has begun to need "warm up" time. For a few minutes after I light it up, the board blinks off and back on intermittently. After that, the light shines solidly.

The light box works perfectly. I knocked the rating down a star due to the terrible way it was shipped! Instead of being packed in a box with additional padding, the shipping label was slapped on the product box itself. The box was crushed and torn when delivered. I had to fully inspect and test it before I decided to keep it! Please fix this!! Also, finding a bag to store it in (since I can’t use the box) was tricky, but finally found one through Shabby Fabrics Quilt Shop.
