I gave five stars for the actual product, even though when I received the first order the bottle tops had cracked, and there was molasses everywhere. I notified customer service, and was immediately given the option of a refund or a replacement. I went for the replacement, and added that they needed to use a lot more quality control over their packers who pack such fragile items. I am happy to report the second shipment arrived well packed, and in perfect condition. I use this molasses in baked beans and to make my own brown sugar. It is stronger in flavor than regular molasses, but it is really good. I give it to my chicken ladies on occasion as well, as they really love it!

This tastes really good! Not too sweet with just the right amount of bitterness. Seems to be very fresh as the culture is still active and foaming! Had to put it in the fridge to stop the bottle from swelling up. This is definitely healthy. Highly recommend this brand!

Black Strap Molasses offers a great source of plant based iron as a nutritional supplement. This product arrived with a small leak of liquid through the seal on the bottles’ mouths. It has been easier to drink the molasses once dissolved in water after I first dissolved lemon syrup into the water (the Vitamin C content in citrus improves the intestinal absorption of dietary iron).

Great tasting, high quality addition to my morning shake. It gives me sustained energy. If you are like me and are looking for an alternative healthy life style this is a supplement no one is talking about. Research it.

Blackstrap molasses! I am mix a tbsp in my oatmeal and milk. If you take molasses without mixing it in anything, it may taste strong for you. So better mix it in milk or oatmeal or smoothie. This help my iron level and milk supply. Blackstrap molasses is different from the normal molasses. Normal molasses is syrup and sugary.

As far as the molasses goes, this is pretty much the best quality, assuming they are being honest in their labeling. Pure low-/no-sulfur blackstrap molasses, organic, non-gmo, etc. No complaints there. The problem I had was with the safety seal on the bottle, you know, the seal over the opening that, if intact, assures you the product has not been tampered with since being manufactured. In my case the seal HAD been tampered, there was a hole in it as if someone took a standard pencil and simply punched a hole in the seal. The molasses jar was packed on its side, allowing the molasses to seep through the "seal" then up the winding threads and OUT OF THE BOTTLE, causing a mess in the package which also had another item I'd ordered. Fortunately the second item was unspoiled, except its packaging was messed up, being partially covered in thick wholesome organic non-gmo blackstrap molasses. Also, fortunately, I don't plan to eat this molasses: I'm mixing a little with some sugar, yeast and warm water (maybe some ACV too), letting the yeast foam up and pouring the mixture onto the ground. Why? It is said to attract earthworms which in turn helps make that area ideal for planting, which is my Spring goal, planting two trees. That's the product story. But wait – there's more! In addition to this situation the delivery was far short of Amazon's high standards. (This did not affect the star count as it is not a product issue). Driver claimed package "was left near the front door or porch". False, and (conveniently) no photograph. The package was nowhere near the house nor at either of my only two neighbors'. Turns out the box was left behind my mailbox a quarter mile away on a different street, one with a fair amount of traffic. Anybody driving that street could easily see the Amazon "smile" logo, pull over and grab (steal) the box in under ten seconds, then take off with who-knows-what. Why? Evidently the Amazon driver figured he/she didn't want to drive the distance to deliver to the house. Fortunately this unacceptable situation is rare but sometimes happens. Since I am unable to tell Amazon about this privately AFAIK, I'm going public here.

Helps bring up the iron levels. I've been struggling with anemia because of hookworms. Cleanses haven't been able to eradicate the hookworms, so I needed something to help my energy levels. This seems to help. I use a liquid iron now that works better since I couldn't really stand the taste of the molasses after a while. But I use it once in a while in cookies or beans and it adds a really nice flavor.

Order arrived exceptionally well packaged in an Amazon box. Quality of the product is highly superior to another brand that I have purchased earlier, through amazon too, and unfortunately I had to throw 6 jars in the bin as a result of the poor quality and no customer service. Wholesome organic unsulphured blackstrap molasses has a shiny, fresh, and syrupy texture to it. The taste is delicious. Pours with ease from the bottle. I tried it directly from the spoon and it does not stick in your throat like the other brand, goes down easily and has a beautiful taste and a fresh aroma to it. It dilutes properly even in water and could be used in recipes without ruining it. If you are looking for quality blackstrap molasses look no more this is the product for you. I highly recommend it!
